Problem solved.
I went to the BIOS , and select the Windows 8 WQHL boot option instead of Other OS, and make sure the CSM option is turned off.
Everything works after that selection. Multi screens start to work with WEG :)
Hi all,
I have a strange problem and it only started to happen recently.
I have RX580 GFX and paired with the system in my profile. The multi monitors screen used to work without any issue. However, I started to lose the 3rd screen whenever I reboot/start the machine. The main screen would...
iMac13,2 worked fine in all previous OSX version. But what happened with Mojave is, after the upgrade the clock just got locked down at 3.7GHz. Very strange. Thus, I tried varies of system definition, but none of them worked.
I have been trying different methods in the past few weeks, God knows...
Hi,
Just want to mention that I have my problem resolved!!! :D :D :D
What I did:-
1) I reflash my MB BIOS with the same F12 version.
I think Clover or some other injection methods made the motherboard BIOS went into limbo mode where the max freq at 3.7GHz. So I thought maybe I just reflash...
hi,
sorry to bring up an old thread. But i am having the exact same issue. The Up arrow key sends UP + F6 to the system on my apple aluminium keyboard. I just wondering if anyone has any fix for the problem?
@nioyco
My Power Management setup , and it works -
With Clover,
- No ssdt.aml !
- ACPI > SSDT > Tick PluginType
- Kernel and Kext Patches > tick KernelXCPM
That's it. The native power management just works beautifully.
But the main issue is the max freq is always stuck at 3.7Ghz...
the partition layout looks fine to me.
This is mine . :)
and i have two installations.
If you don't want to boot using USB , just install the Clover onto your OSX local disk you should be good to go. Make sure you copy across all the necessary kext/config/etc... to your local disk.
It is supported, but it has bugs. For example, the bugs with 650 GT where the graphics glitches or pixelated, still in Mojave.
Tbh, some of the Kepler cards are dead in the water since Metal released. Neither Apple or Nvidia cares fixing the issues. Time to move on to Intel or AMD card.
nope.
tried varies method, the max speed always locked at 3.7Ghz.
1) i tried the SSDT.aml method
2) tried the PluginType=1 method in Clover
Same deal. no changes.
Yup. I've tried my Nvidia 650TI Boost on Mojave 10.14.1 , same issue, glitches still happens on Mojave. Some of the Kepler cards do not work well with Metal and neither Apple and Nvidia bother to fix it. And Nvidia not releasing the webdrive quick enough.
I have to use my onboard Intel HD1400...
Hi, @RehabMan,
Have you encountered/ heard any issue in regard to Turbo Boost in Mojave? This question is wrt https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/i7-3770k-freq-max-at-3-7ghz-mojave.264208/ i asked in a different but related post.
I've tried both ssdt or plugin type way and I am sure both way...
Hi,
I've read numerous posts trying to get the Turbo boost to get to at least 3.9GHz, and in fact i actually OC the CPU to 4.0Ghz. It used to work on High Sierra but right after I upgrade it to Mojave, the max speed is always at 3.7Ghz. It won't go over than that value.
The power management...
