    Update: After upgrading to Yosemite, sleep mode works just fine with bios version 1801 of this particular board. I don't know exactly why, but there must be something different concerning the power management of Yosemite. Audio after sleep does't work, though...

    It is possible to patch and flash a bios for this board with pmpatch and FTK 0.9.5 DOS (see Coderush's guides). My last try was bios version 1801. Sleep still ain't working though (i.e. pc goes to sleep, 5 seconds later fans go crazy, calm down, 5 seconds later they go crazy again, and so on...

    Thanks for your info. However, I'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 + I thought I don't need a patched DSDT/SSDT with this board when using a modified bios... Still haven't found a solution for the sleep issues yet. How about certain bios settings I'd have to change?

    thanks for your help so far! did what you suggested: left HDAEnabler2.kext in S/L/E/, removed S/L/E/HDAEnabler1.kext, no other HDAEnabler??? found. fixed permissions and cache + reboot. now i got "audio id 2" shown in system report + ioregexplorer but there's still only 2 channels...
