    macOS 14.1.2 Update

Update button was shown as I had enabled revpatch=sbvmm. Click on the button, but the update failed. "Failed to prepare the software update. Please try again". Click the button one more time. It went through and completed well.

    i7 12700H + RX 6600 8Gb lagging after instalation

The WiFi module is not supported natively anymore. It's too sad. You may use a OCLP(opencore legacy patcher) to make it work again but the OCLP changes some system files.

Which motherboard (brand/model) are you using? First, remove the Wifi module and test it again.

[SOLVED] Ventura/Sonoma - Random (Scheduled PM) Wake from Sleep

My system(Sonoma 14.1.1) doesn't wake up even if I am also getting the CSPNEvaluation events. For example, CSPNEvaluation tries to wake up on 11PM everyday but the system wakes up only with the mouse/keyboard movements. Maybe, I did something without acknowledging it, but it was not the...

    macOS 14.1.1 Update

Updated to 14.1.1 without any issue with opencore 0.9.6. I also had to add revpatch=sbvmm in the boot-args along with RestrictEvents.kext to make the incremental upgrade show up.

Of course, it's macOS 14 (Sonoma).

[SOLVED] Ventura/Sonoma - Random (Scheduled PM) Wake from Sleep

After applying the fixes suggested in this thread, I’ve monitored it for a week. I can confirm that it’s solved 100%. It sleeps when it needs to sleep, wakes up when I move the mouse, and has no more darkwake during sleep. The commands that I used for this are as follows:

GIGABYTE RX 6600 XT - screen goes off on booting Ventura 13.1

In the MSI board, it's located at Settings/Advanced/PCIe & PCI Sub-system Settings. The first M.2 is connected to the CPU directly.

GIGABYTE RX 6600 XT - screen goes off on booting Ventura 13.1

In my motherboard (MSI Pro Z690-A WiFi DDR5), I can assign a speed for each PCIe slot differently in the BIOS. It means Gen4 for graphics, Gen3 for slot 1, and so on. Now I just set it to "Auto" as I don't use -v option in the boot-args.

GIGABYTE RX 6600 XT - screen goes off on booting Ventura 13.1

Screen goes off for 3(?) seconds after the Apple bar and login-in screen is displayed. Everything works with WEG + pikera - -v. Cold boot/warm boot/sleep/wake. But with -v, it goes black when the login-in screen is displayed unless I changed the SSD speed to Gen3. I'm using WD SN850X supporting...

GIGABYTE RX 6600 XT - screen goes off on booting Ventura 13.1

It’s interesting. I had a similar issue with my Gigabyte RX 6600 and MSI Z690 board. The only option that worked for me was removing the -v option in the boot-args. I followed the directions in this thread, but none of them worked for my configuration. Here are the combinations I tested. As my...

    Ohchang's build: Gigabyte Z590 Vision G + i7-10700K + AMD RX580

RX6600 black screen is a known issue (at least to me and some other people. :) ) My band-aid solution was removing -v in the boot-args or changing the NVMe speed, for example, from Gen4 to Gen3. Your band-aid was resetting the CMOS. I guess it’s caused by kexts loading sequences.

    MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 + i7-12700K + AMD RX 580

I chose a CPU setting for my purpose. BIOS -> OC -> Advanced CPU Configuration -> CPU Lite Load = 7 BIOS -> OC -> CPU Core Voltage Mode = Offset Mode BIOS -> OC -> CPU Core Voltage Offset Mode = (- By CPU) BIOS -> OC -> CPU Core Voltage Offset = 0.075 BIOS -> OC -> CPU Cooler Tuning -> Tower...

    MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 + i7-12700K + AMD RX 580

My config.plist has the following settings with no issue (I mean no warning). I think the loading sequence of kexts affects the black screen. HDD and -v option are just factors that change the sequence.

[SOLVED] Ventura/Sonoma - Random (Scheduled PM) Wake from Sleep

This is the solution that I have been looking for a long time. I have the darkwake issue on my desktop. It wakes up in the middle of the night, does something, and goes back to sleep. pmset -g log | grep "Wake Requests" gave I could disable the scheduling using sudo pmset schedule cancelall...

    MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 + i7-12700K + AMD RX 580

The same issue was reported to the opencore developer but it's closed without further testings. See opencore developer bug report #2213 (through similar thread in tonymacx86). Workaround is not using -v boot-args option at this time.

I also have the same issue, with boot-args = -v. Removing -v solves the issue.

[SOLVED] Wifi and Ethernet 225-V not working on Z490I Aorus Ultra with fresh install of macOS Sonoma 14.1

There are two method. One is enabling AppleVTD and the other is using AppleIGC.kext. WiFi should work with the AirportItlwm.kext compiled for Sonoma. It has bugs though.

    Instant darkwake after sonoma - i7-10700k, Gigabyte B460, RX580

I opted for option 4, which is switching to a different system. The Gigabyte B460 aorus pro was an excellent board, but it had several issues, such as RP04 and PEG1 PEG2. I managed to fix the RP04 problem, but I gave up on the PEG1 PEG2 issue. The new system (MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI Pro and...

    MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 + i7-12700K + AMD RX 580

I jumped on this system. Additional items that I changed for my MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI + i9-12900K + RX6600 are; USB HS14 is used by the internal intel bluetooth (IOUSBHostDevice). I had to enable the port for the bluetooth. It doesn't pair with an iPhone as everyone knows. USB SS03(HS04) is used...
