    Should I upgrade my Hackingtosh

So in December 2013 I built a hackingtosh with the specs seen below. I stuck quite rigidly to the 2012 buyers guide on Tony Mac. I'm just thinking about the future of my machine, how easily and cost effectivly I could upgrade it to push it's processing abilities. I use my machine for video...

Gigabyte z77x-up5th thunderbolt stopped working after GTX680 starts working

I have finally got my GTX680 working on my brand new hackingtosh. Which is great! but having done that it has automatically cut out any ability to run a monitor from the Thunderbolt port off the harddrive. Is this just how it is? Or is there a way or being able to run from both? My motherboard...

Can someone recommend a motherboard to go with a Core i7-3930k processor?

Slight dilema then. Do I downgrade the processor and have thunderbolt or change the motherboard and keep the processor and not have thunderbolt.

Venturing into Hackintosh as a frustrated video editor.

That is a good point about Ram. I will certainly go beyond 16gb at some point. In terms of storage I dont see myself needing more than 2tb at any one time, I archive as soon as a project is complete, although it would be good to archive internally just to save on buying an external harddrive...

Venturing into Hackintosh as a frustrated video editor.

Thanks for this info. I am looking for something that doesn't slow down my work flow. I need to be able to be exporting in After Effects whilst doing a full render in Premier and also have plenty of freedom to keep on editing in FCP. So big beast is my goal here. Time is what I want to get back...

Venturing into Hackintosh as a frustrated video editor.

I have been working off my Macbook Pro 2011 15" system for nearly a year now. It is the most practical machine for me due to the traveling I do with my editing work. However, I am working more and more out of my office and I believe it is time to get a heavy duty machine on the go. I was aiming...
