ciao all,
I'm going to try this mobo in the next days, and I'm wondering about one thing: all of you are referring about open core boot loader instead of Clover. There is a specific reason or this mobo works only with OC ?
For user Tmbt and junshou did u figure out the matebook d i5 with osx?
I'm going to buy a new macbook but i'm figure out the xiaomi air or the matebook d but i'm still confused in what will work and not what..
EDIT: I just checked my system and The display that work is the only one connected to displayport via TB,
the monitor that doesn't work is the one connected directly to the hdmi port of the motherboard ...what the heck?
Hy guys,
this is my system

Ehy Guys,
after months of use with z97a and ex dual II card and focusrite clarett8 pre (with sierra) I'm having strange problems:
-my audiocard works well but randomly sometimes loses clock and i have to switch manually to internal
- sometimes with different audio applications opened together...
I don't see my tb cardo too in TB devices...there is no way to see it there? I mean, by kext modify or something other like putting ID device of the card in some config file?
Yes, but the device is only osx compatible so after the activation i was seeing only Port 1 and Port 2 name in tb device manager app
What u're going to connect via thunderbolt?
have u tried to run only CPU graphics instead of gtx970 ? I've read about some people having issues with external graphics.
Also i forgot to reply to your question: i've just tried to boot without tb device connect, it doesn't work the card, i mean, in dpci list (in dpcimanager) there no tb...
So, in bios check also these:
Boot>
Interrupt 19 Capture > Disable
Above 4G decoding > Enabled
Secure boot --
Os Type >Other Os
and secure boot state disabled
Advanced>
PCH Configuration-->PCI Express Configuration-->PCI-E Speeed> GEN2
System Agent Configuration-->NB PCI-E...
Will do a check later in the other settings and report u back :) have u the latest bios firmware? 2801 ?
ps: instead of reboot, try to shutdown and restart pc
Update:
At first try out adapter to tb2 was seen but no audiocard was working. BUT :
In the meanwhile
I got my thunderbolt EX II dual and i've figured out to work. I've had to try several parameters in the pciex info in the bios. Now i have my TB card working only with power on , no via reboot...
Solved, at the end card is working only if i don't reboot but if I shut down mac no problems, card works!!
So,
for get it recognized in windows you have to check these parameters:
Go to...
Boot
Fast Boot = Disabled <<<<<< very important
Thunderbolt
Security Level = 'no security'
Wake from...

ehy guys, i'm getting crazy trying to get it working...i don't see the device also in windows,
at the end how did u figure it working out?
deleting kext?
I'm wasting my time trying to get it working;
bios 2801, card inserted in pciex16_3 slot
no security
AIC LOCATION 4
SIZE 32
no way to get it visibile neither on windows / osx
I'm believing, along with customer care of asus that only works EX II not the DUAL.
anyone of you with z97a can...
Oh well, this is why after install it Clover was "scanning for device"..but I don't understand how to create custom ssdt for this purpose..do u have a simple guide to follow your instruction?
