Quick Fix for Onboard Audio on 9 Series Motherboards

DISREGARD: Once I update to Chimera 4.1 and installed the proper audio driver (898), it worked. Hey all. I just updated to 10.9.5 from 10.9.2. When I try to run multibeast to install the audio driver fix, I get an error that says "The Installation Failed." Does anyone have any idea what...

GTX 670 CUDA not working with Mavericks

I'm using my on-board graphics of my GA-Z77X-UP5 TH as my primary graphics, and the GTX 670 as the secondary for my second monitor. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.

GTX 670 CUDA not working with Mavericks

When I first did my build with Mountain Lion, Cuda worked fine. I discovered some time ago after upgrading to Mavericks that none of my apps (Avid Media Composer, Sorenson Squeeze) that use CUDA are detecting CUDA acceleration anymore. I've combed the forums for an answer and can't find...

    Mavericks Darkwake sleep problems

This seems to have solved my problem. After entering this kernel flag, I haven't had an issue waking displays up from sleep.

    Mavericks Darkwake sleep problems

Curious if you've fixed this problem. I'm having a similar issue on my machine where, when I leave the computer for a long period of time (say, overnight), the displays will not wake up and USB power dies.

    GA-Z77X-UP5 TH - USB 3.0 External Drives won't mount

I've had a similar issue, only its happening with a RAID array that's connected over USB 2.0. When I cold boot, it won't mount. I've tried connecting over Firewire and had the same result. I was connecting it over eSATA without a problem until I started using Thunderbolt-connected drives...

    Success with Z77 Thunderbolt Motherboards

Ended up buying an eSATA-USB3 cable to connect my RAID backup. Had trouble booting and mounting the drives. Caused the same problems that I had when I had the drives connected eSATA-eSATA. Don't know why this is. Anyhow, I've got the RAID backup connected over USB2 right now and...

    Success with Z77 Thunderbolt Motherboards

Have you had any problems with Thunderbolt and eSATA external drive conflicts? I have basically the same build as you, and when Thunderbolt drives are connected, my external eSATA drives won't mount.

    CUDA not working!

Hey everyone. Can't believe I'm just now noticing this. Been using my Hack build since October, and I just now realized that the CUDA acceleration on my GTX670 isn't working/being recognized. It doesn't show up in System Preferences, and the graphics card isn't recognized in After Effects...

    Conflicted: Pro Build Reliability?

The CustoBuild parts list doesn't give the option for a dual-proc machine. Do you know of anyone that's built something like that with relatively current processors? I've seen a couple posts online about some beast of a computer thats WAY MORE than I need. If this isn't viable, then I might...

    Conflicted: Pro Build Reliability?

Hey all. Been researching Hackintoshes for months now. Finally to a point where I'm ready to make a move. I really value your input and advice. Here's my situation: I'm a Pro user. I need a powerful video editing machine. For around $1500, I can build a kickass machine from the "Pro...
