    [Updated] Stork's Thunderbolt Build: i5-3570K | GA-Z77X-UP5-TH | GTX 760

[Updated] Stork's Thunderbolt Build: i5-3570K | GA-Z77X-UP5-TH | GTX 650 Ti | Mavericks I realize that not everybody will want to do this. But, the easiest way to fix sound is via a USB sound adapter. It works OOTB and is just plug and play. Works on both Windows and Mac and you'll never...

[Updated] Stork's Thunderbolt Build: i5-3570K | GA-Z77X-UP5-TH | GTX 650 Ti | Mavericks Yosemite is working perfectly for me with an almost identical build to yours. The only thing I can't figure out is why audio won't work. Any thoughts or suggestions? :banghead:

[Updated] Stork's Thunderbolt Build: i5-3570K | GA-Z77X-UP5-TH | GTX 650 Ti | Mountain Lion For starters, I want to say that this guide is amazing and very helpful! But, I have one issue... My computer sleeps fine and wakes from sleep fine using a wired keyboard. But, I would like to know...

How safe is to remove the Chipset Heat Sink

Just to reiterate - it is imperative that you have a CPU heatsink! Check this website for low profile heatsinks. http://www.frostytech.com/top5_lowprofile_heatsinks.cfm

    bluetooth keyboard and mouse

The Wifi/bluetooth card that came with my motherboard didn't work for my hack. But, I purchased a Targus USB bluetooth adapter like tonymacx86 recommends in his builds and it has worked perfectly. I suggest trying it - I got it for under $10.

USB Device Drawing Too Much Power

I had the same problem a while back. It occurred after adding my third HD. I booted and it gave me the same error - I would click out of it and it would keep coming back. I tried most of the same things you did without a fix. Eventually I shut down my computer, turned off my PSU, and...

    TL-WDN4800 Help

Your post got me to thinking that maybe it was something wrong with Mountain Lion. So, I tethered with 4GLTE on my phone and that worked super fast. Which initially made me think it was the wireless router. I ruled that out eventually and messed with my settings in Network in System...

    TL-WDN4800 Help

That didn't fix the problem. The problem was there before I had installed Windows though. I'm considering just building my own Wifi card. Could I do this and use the Mac wifi card for ML and then just keep the other card for Windows?

    TL-WDN4800 Help

Bump. I would really like to resolve this - I currently have to use Windows more than I would like due to slow OSX internet.

    Dual booting and trim

My Windows 8 is the same way, because it put its boot manager on the same large partition instead of a small partition like Windows 7. I have yet to figure out how to fix this. I have a Gigabyte motherboard though and just hit F12 for boot menu before Chimera even boots. It will show "Windows...

    TL-WDN4800 Help

I have the TP-Link Wireless N Dual Band PCI Express Adapter with 3 x 2dBi Antenna (TL-WDN4800) recommended by Tonymacx86. But, for some reason this card functions extremely slowly in Mountain Lion. I get download speeds of 1.5 Mbps with pings over 500 ms. On Windows 8 with the same card and...

    BIOS Keyboard

Thanks everyone. If only I would've thought this through better initially - I would just buy a different keyboard that works for BIOS if I didn't just spend 60 some bucks on the Apple wireless keyboard. I have found some ridiculously small full keyboards, but nothing just for the BIOS. Oh...

    BIOS Keyboard

Yes and no. I guess a Numpad could work for selecting the boot option in Chimera (I'm not sure). But what I'm basically looking for is a super small USB keyboard. Or a USB keyboard just for use in BIOS - what I mean by this is it has maybe the F1-12 keys, delete, enter, error, etc. Anything...

    BIOS Keyboard

This is probably a weird question and most people probably won't have any need for this whatsoever. I have my build up and running 100%! I'm very pleased with it actually. My problem is that I currently use wireless Apple keyboard and trackpad. I was wondering because I sometimes boot into...

Can't login to iCloud or App store.

I had the same problem recently. My problem was that my ethernet drivers were not installed. Apple apparently needs you to have an ethernet driver for the App Store to work. To see if this is your problem and to fix it, follow these instructions. -> Click the apple in the top left corner ->...
