Fuzzy / Pixelated Screen temporarily after sleep?

I should also add that we tried WhateverGreen (Core Graphics Fixup AKA WhateverGreen) although it didn't make a difference.

Fuzzy / Pixelated Screen temporarily after sleep?

I'm trying to help my father with a small issue he is having with his machine. After the computer wakes from sleep his screen will be fuzzy/pixelated for around 12 seconds and then the screen suddenly goes back to normal. I've tried searching the forum to see if anyone has had a similar issue...

    Stork's MyHero Build: ASUS ROG Z170 MAXIMUS VIII HERO - i7-6700K - GTX 980

After poking around a bit, it appears the change that made FCPX start to work was changing the AAPL,ig-platform-id to <01001219>. It does seem like 37 to 40 seconds is about right for a 1050 Ti after searching for other scores. I think you're probably right about Bruce X not changing much with...

    Stork's MyHero Build: ASUS ROG Z170 MAXIMUS VIII HERO - i7-6700K - GTX 980

Thank you pasterychef! The new config allows me to open FCPX without issue and quick sync appears to be enabled. That said I just ran the Bruce5k benchmark with a result of 40 seconds. I would have thought with Quick sync working I would see an improvement. If everything is setup correctly...

[Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen

I'm having a hell of a time trying to get Quick sync and Final Cut to work together. After enabling Quick Sync I'm unable to open Final Cut Pro X. FCPX will say it quit unexpectedly when I try to open it. I've worked through the instructions in post #1 and hardware acceleration is enabled...

Yeah, looks like HWMonitor doesn't pickup the Hero VIII sensors. Not a big deal.

    Stork's MyHero Build: ASUS ROG Z170 MAXIMUS VIII HERO - i7-6700K - GTX 980

The plugins were installed via MultiBeast. Here is my config from the install: It looks like your CPU/chassis fans aren't reporting either. Just your GPU fan. That said, I would have thought only Asus graphics cards would have monitor data come through. We both have EVGA cards and I'm not...

    Stork's MyHero Build: ASUS ROG Z170 MAXIMUS VIII HERO - i7-6700K - GTX 980

Add more happy customer. Just finished getting everything working. iMessages, Sleep, Pascal graphics, SSDT, all good. I just haven't been able to get my fan speeds to report in HWMonitor. Is anyone able to see fan speeds from their Hero VIII board? This is what I see.

NVIDIA 'Pascal' Graphics Drivers Released: Buyer's Guide Updated!

I'm surprised the eGPU with a GTX 1050 Ti performed just as well as my machine with the GTX 1050 Ti installed "natively".

    El capitan gtx 970 displayport

For those that are having to power cycle their display or unplug and replug after booting, the solution that worked for me was to set "BootDisplay" (in Clover Configurator -> Graphics) to 2. The default is apparently 0 and by choosing a different number (1, 2, 3....) a different port will be...

Here is a cheat sheet for the H97i-Plus install using MultiBeast. IMO H97i-Plus should be the default recommended board for the Hack-Mini. 1. Change Windows Secure Boot to "Other OS" in Bios (may not be required) 2. Normal UniBeast/Multibeast Install...

Bluetooth USB compatible with OS X Mavericks

I have both IOGear Bluetooth Modules (GBU521 & GBU421) and both are unable to awake from sleep in Mavericks. The GBU421 never awoke from sleep in ML although it could easily be reconnected by pressing the power button on the trackpad. The only solution appears to be to a restart. I have also...

    [SUCCESS] Maverickintosh - Z77-DS3H Rev.1.0 F9 - i5 2500K - HD6850 - 16GB - ML 10.9

Hi have pretty much the same setup as you (same board, same graphics card...), and I followed your directions to a T although after a fresh install I'm not able to login to iMessage. Have you had any trouble with iMessage on your machine?

    App Store and Mavericks

Same here. I'm running a Z77-DS3H which needed a few tweaks to get working for MLion. (Chameleon Wizard, Serial, & NVRAM). After updating to Mavericks I have had no luck with any of the fixes.
