Wait it booted,loaded Pro Tools 10 as well, I loaded an older Multibeast 3.8 and it worked!!!
So does this mean that there's an issue with the latest multibeast v 4??
Any idea on what this means? I should note that the ilok driver installed fine,so this has me thinking it's not the ilok driver,but once I installed pro tools 10 and rebooted,I get this error,it wont allow me to boot into lion now.something in the pro tools 10 installer made this issue,but what...
oK I will do that,but I thought I'd add an update,I just reinstalled fresh lion via usb,installed the ilok driver to use with another software that needs it to run.. havent rebooted yet,but this software works fine.. I need to reboot, and then install pt10 again. I'll take a better pic using ur...

just wanted to say thanks to tony,for the usb lion install instructions,works flawless,but I'm having a very weird issue when installing this program (pro tools 10) driver > ilok pace.com latest driver.. upon restarting the cpu , it gives a kernal panic message, mentions something...
Tony's guide to Lion says you only need 10.6.6 or latr,so I think I'll try a new install now! :clap:
Update - using notshy's guide here to 10.6.7 + 64 bit, then using tony's guide to Lion works perfectly!! thank you, so no need for me to go to 10.6.8 at all..

Just curious is this able to run 64 bit mode yet? I've got a successful 32bit mode install working beautiful,but I'm soon adding more ram..any guides for 64 bit?
I was able to successfully get all 6gb of memory finally working (don't have to RMA it) after setting up their different timings.. 8-8-8-24 with a dram voltage of 1.65, it boots now. cool
But if I try to raise the multiplier to 12x though, I get fail and it won't boot..

Well I kinda knew this was gonna come back on me, I got the CustoMac all installed,running just like a dream... but it's on a 74gb raptor and there's not much room for data now..
I've heard with a mac you can clone a drive,is it really possible to do this and keep the bootloader,and all...
Boot order was set to Cd Rom. I'm gonna change that to after hard disc. - I just changed it, yes that helps tremendously. :thumbup:
Sorry no I don't know what quick memory test is yet. I there any good pointers for that?

Fwiw I have it set at 24x 3.20ghz...
I got this board along with the rest of the customac.. loving it,but it seems to take alot longer to boot then previous mobo's in the past..(even on old machines) Are there any good settings you guys know for the bios,that can help speed up boot times?

I ran Mac Man's installer word for word,step by step..with the exception of changing the name of the DSDT.aml - perhaps this can be added for the first time guys LIKE me.. I now have audio and the boot working from hard...
