Depends on what you call 'out of the box'... The RX560 has been natively supported since 10.12.6. However, you need lilu and whatevergreen installed to make sure it's recognized (you can get around this with newer versions of clover and the proper settings in your config)
I was responding to another user asking about NEW nvidia cards (specifically the GTX1050). Somebody gave bad advice on how to use the web driver which IS required for those cards.
All you need to do to get the RX 560 or 580 running 10.12.6+ is add lilu.kext and whatevergreen.kext to your normal setup. You don't need to delete anything or modify your config.plist.
You'll get full graphics from boot (including the apple logo). Apple uses latest AMD Radeon cards in the...
Ignore everything that was said above by @cumick2 and others. The new nvidia cards work fine. Clover changed how you enable the web drivers over a year ago.
You are correct... all you have to do is add the 'InjectKexts' in your config.plist...
1) I can't answer the 3 monitor setup, but I run 2 Dell U2715H monitors from my lowly AMD RX 560 card just fine.
2) I've used both the GTX 1050 ti and AMD RX 560 with Fusion 360. Both work great (see my notes below on why I picked the Radeon over Nvidea)
3) Yes. I've published quite a few...
I tried the GTX 1050 ti and while it worked great, I didn't like being tied to the nvidia drivers (no native support.. have to wait for drivers to be available before you can update os releases).
The AMD RX 560 & 580 cards are natively supported since 10.12.6 (they are used in the new 2017...
I can't help with your boot problem... but once you get everything installed, your still going to have issues in High Sierra with the GTX 660 card. You may want to just stick with Sierra until there is a fix.
See this thread...
If you have WiFi and Bluetooth working but not handoff... try this from the terminal window:
cd /System/Library
sudo chmod -R 755 Extensions
sudo chown -R 0:0 Extensions
sudo touch Extensions
Then reboot!
(It may also help to sign out of iCloud on both the Mac and iPhone... then sign back in.)
For the record... I found that changing resolution/profiles might hide the issue for a while but they come back. Adobe products would always force the 'glitch' to show itself.
The only true fix is to buy a new video card or roll back to 10.12.
I'm going to add some confusion to this... but maybe it will help.
My new build is a High Sierra Z270N-WIFI/i5-7500 system using an M2 adaptor and a BCM94360CS2 card also.
However... My Bluetooth works GREAT*, but I don't have any WiFi.
I have purchased 3 different BCM94360CS2 cards thinking...
I spent days trying to figure out a fix... every time i thought it was fixed i would launch an Adobe CC app and the screen would go crazy.
I've had strange NVIDIA problems since Sierra (lots of crashes in Photoshop & Lightroom). Since the issue still exists in the 10.13.1 beta, I don't have...
