    NVIDIA Performance Benchmarks - 10.8.3 - GeForce GT 640 to GTX 680

I also noticed that the GTX 670 rez for the test is set at 1920x1080 vs the GTX 680 rez at 1920x1200 (extra 230,400 pixels) Not to be nit-picky but would it be possible to see the GTX 680 test rerun with a rez of 1920x1080?

    Mod G5 Thunderbolt

It's the 120mm fan with the Corsair logo in the 5th picture. It is sitting in the middle of the case, on the bottom. I have aluminum flashing on the back half of the PSU to make sure the warm air it pushes out is pushed out of the case and not recirculated inside.

    Mod G5 Thunderbolt

It's ugly as sin but not bad for a proof of concept build. Second to last pic shows the power button on the motherboard. Apologies for the blurry pics.. My phone was the only camera I had at the moment :/

http://legacy.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=16300 Eelhead has the diagrams if you want to DYI the cable, but it looks like you got it taken care of lol Also, no need for a screwdriver touching any pins! The Motherboard has a power button on it already ;)

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH - Cannot Install System SW

If you have your monitor connected to your 570 and have the BIOS settings set so that the 570 is the Primary GPU and the HD4000 is disabled you should be able to install with the card connected...then again, you should be able to have both operational if in the BIOS you enable both and have the...

    Mod G5 Thunderbolt

I fit a 240mm x 120 mm Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme radiator inside the front of my G5 case so you should be good  I personally have the 2 120 mm (IN) fans for the cooler in the front, 2 80 mm fans (OUT) on the MountianMods backplate, a squirrel cage fan in a PCI slot (OUT), and the...

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH - Cannot Install System SW

I'm no expert just having my own build to go on but it is beginning to sound like a video problem to me. Have you tried booting with graphicsenabler=no? Other things to try/think about: - BIOS settings - Do you have the HD4000 on Disabled, Auto, or Primary? - Is your monitor plugged into the...

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH - Cannot Install System SW

Which USB port is your usb drive pluged into? (USB 2.0 or 3.0) I don't suppose you could post a picture of when it errors out? It might shed more light

    Mod G5 Thunderbolt

I don't have my graphics card installed yet, but my HX750 PSU barely flinches with AOE 3, cIV, ciV, or Tropico 4 just using the HD 4000 so far.. Heck, I've only been able to get the PSU fan to kick on twice for less than a minute each when I ran a CPU stress test! ..It's a good investment :D...

    FCPX 10.0.6 optimized build

per - http://www.tonymacx86.com/buying-advice/62346-comparison-gigabyte-ivy-bridge-boards.html Try powering the USB 2.0 adapter on different headers on the motherboard.. it is also good to make sure it is plugged in the right way. The VIA controller is what is causing you grief..

    FCPX 10.0.6 optimized build

Plug the keyboard/mouse/USB drive all into the blue colored USB ports on the back. I had the same problem. For some reason or another, USB 2.0 doesn't play nice until the OS is installed Scratch that, I have the GA-Z77X-UP5 TH, I should have read closer.. With the board you have only certian...

Having the same issue.. Here is a shot from verbos mode -v -x flags set The ports seems to always be the same one I plug my USB drive into for the install. OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 Beta has AMD Radeon 7XXX drivers

Exactly! Although I'd argue that just because Apple owns AMD or at least the majority share of it (hypothetically of course) doesn't mean AMD has to or will stop producing chips for other tech manufacturers. Combining Apple's reputation of quality with AMD's of great/good performance to cost...
