GPU power cables and the acrylic cover

Hi, I think you'll need to cut the acrylic (see my rig or ersterhernd' second one G5)

It's all about detail: GPU high flow bracket

Hi all, I got a new airflow bracket for the GTX TITAN. Even though it was first about esthetic, It quickly turned out to be about performance too: 3 or 5 °C below stock temps in load/heavy load. This accessory comes from EVGA and is compatible with GTX 6xx, TITAN and 7xx (I suppose). Few shots :

How to Manage your PowerMac G5 Top Floor ?

Hi all, I think one of the best innovation with the powermac G5 design comes from the "separated components floors": it's a great way to keep your HDDs/SDDs away from GPU, RAM and CPU "warmth". Thinking of that, I just thought this thread could be useful. It aims to gather & give to new...

    Infos about fan modding

IMHO - as neilhart and minihack stated - cooling is very efficient in the PowerMac G5 and you don't need that much fans. I gave advantage to silence in my build, using the less fans I could : PSU, CPU, GPU and that's all. With that configuration - and even if the CPU is over-clocked (4,3 GHz...

Modding a G5 and moving over my current build

Mine was the same; beware that if you glue them together you might get stuck because of the mis-alignement and it could be problematic when you put in place the upper HDD

    neilhart's G5 Short Stack - PowerMac G5 Mod

Ultra clean work - as always - but this one is to me the better looking one you made, Neil, given the fact that it was a huge challenge. Very Well done

Post your 3770 (non-K) overclock and Geekbench score

I know, but I did not order my new OSX SSD yet, so I can't (don't have OSX running on that machine at the moment) ; sorry

Post your 3770 (non-K) overclock and Geekbench score

So I went back in the UEFI BIOS, and did set up each core to 43, as mentionned before by DBP ; did another GB test and got around 18100 : so no fundamental change compared to when it was set to "auto". Both with the "non-K" OC tweak enabled. Then I tried to OC the DDR3 Dominator Platinum : -...

Nice and clean ! I really like the aluminum/black contrast. Impressive SSD Benchmark.

Post your 3770 (non-K) overclock and Geekbench score

The GB score I get is above 18000 (18110 on the pic, but it went further already) : The thing is - as you can see - a GB test on windows 7, and I read that it can be misleading (don't know why, actually...). I did not set up the turbo ratios individually, but used the "non-K" OC setting of...
