Switch the 5GHz channel to a double digit channel instead of a triple digit channel. Aka 44 not 135 etc. For whatever reason my TP Link country code is blank or null value, because of that the upper 5GHz channels are not considered valid in region.

Well you might want to hold off on that. I erased and did a fresh install. Then restored applications and user accounts. Had 2 lockups since the reformat down to 10.8.5. :evil:

Actually I have been reading and looks like it is possible to downgrade to 10.8.5 and restore from 10.9 Time Machines backups.

With the Freeze Fix and the ethernet changes it has NOT solved my random lock ups, still happen :-( but sometimes it goes a week without lock up other times it will happen 5x a day. Very annoying. Open to suggestions... 10.8 it would run months without reboot or incident. Now it is unreliable...

@pano I used to have this issue back when I was running Intel graphics. Its was a simple fix for me, just simply hit the input switch on my monitor and it would cycle the inputs and redo the handshake for hdmi fixing the problem.

No I installed Mavericks as soon as the guide was out so its been happening for several months. Another member suggested upgrading Atheros drivers to 1.2.3 and upgrading my BIOS firmware. Both of which I did about an hour ago. So now I will see if/when it crashes again. Update: Still not fixed.

Thanks for the suggestions. Updated the BIOS firmware to F11A and Atheros driver to 1.2.3 I have noticed that Turboboost is working correctly in the bios screen now and the machine overall seems to be running much faster. Will report back if I have any system lockups over the next few days.
