    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

I updated to F3j a couple of days ago and everything works fine so far. The "Boot failure detected" seems to be gone. But I had one shutdown right after selecting the partition in OpenCore. But that might just have been a small hiccup and nothing to mention.

How is you system running? I'm still on F3b and frequently get the which is kind of annoying. But otherwise it's working quite well.

    X299 Big Sur Support

Hey @TheBloke I guess we're more or less on the same level of understanding ;) I'll attach my current EFI, if you want to try it for a boot. It's a really slim version based on Dortania with all ACPI edited manually. Working: - Sleep - Thunderbolt - Radeon VII - onboard Audio - USB Not tested...

    X299 Big Sur Support

Hey @TheBloke! Can you elaborate on a few settings that differ from the Dortania guide? EnableSafeModeSlide (You: FALSE, Dortania: TRUE, Github doc: "Patch the bootloader to enable KASLR in safe mode.") I assume you don't have Kernel Panics on boot? ProtectMemoryRegions (You: TRUE, Dortania...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Hey, @teosoft! I did not have the time to write for the last couple of weeks. Sorry for that. My system is really sleeping. It takes a while till everything shuts down, but it does. Wakeup by pressing the power button or a key on the keyboard works: the fans start to spin and LEDs light up. But...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

I checked all tips on the OpenCore Fixing Sleep Guide. I created a new USBMap.kext with all USB ports set up. I added the SSDT-USBX.aml and even disabled thunderbolt. My system goes to sleep but does not wake. I searched a lot but I could not find a log file, which would provide more info on the...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Hey @robdaghost! I'm glad to read that you'Ve managed to get sleep to work. Which OC version are you using? It's not 0.6.0, right? @teosoft I try to achieve the same as you: Sleep is kind of important for me. I tried the dolgerran configuration but it does not work for me. I got a pretty stable...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Hey @dolgarrenan! Thank you for you explanation! For me, the BIOS corruption/reset/French happens, when I open the Boot Menu by pressing F12 (or F10? I forgot) to boot from my backup boot stick. I can select the OC entry but then the system reboots and I get the message. But if just boot my...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

hey @dolgarrenan Thank you for your answer! Let me provide some more information: I never used clover on this system. I've got one USB stick with your EFI and one with a fresh OC 0.5.9. I added the compiled RTC0 to ACPI and config.plist I enabled Above4G Decoding in BIOS I enabled...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Hey guys! I just started to configure my Gigabyte X299X Designare 10G and flashed the Thunderbolt EEPROM with the file from the 1st post: Afterwards I open the SSDT-X299X-DESIGNARE10G-THUNDERBOLT-SIMPLIFIED edited the five values, recalculated the checksum and added the aml to my config.plist...

[Guide] 10.11+ USB changes and solutions

Hey Rehabman! Thank you for checking my files! I don't know why, but my SSDT_XOSI.aml was gone. I put the one from here http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-support/172337-el-capitan-usb-issues-possible-fix.html back in, but still no change. I attached a new ioreg. Would you mind to...

[Guide] 10.11+ USB changes and solutions

Hey Guys! My USB3 ports are working on USB2 speed. I patched EHCx to EH0x and XHCI to XH01 (see Clover Configurator Screenshot). A added FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext to my EFI partition EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/10.11 and 10.10 IOReg shows AppleACPIPCI EH01, so the patch seem to work. But...

    [FIX] HD4200/HD4400/HD4600/HD5600 on 10.11+

Hey RehabMan! Thank you for your answer! I tried DVI and HDMI, both have the same symptoms. VT-d is disabled, 64M is set. IGPU is primary. I even loaded BIOS setup defaults (and set the few parameters like disable VT-d, Profile1 Memory, disable FastBoot, IGPU primary of course). No boot either...

Hey guys! I've got a working 10.10.5 on my GA Z87X-D3H with a i7 4770S. Now I tried to install El Capitan (via Unibeast UEFI) onto another hard drive in that same system but can't get the graphics driver loaded ("Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport" problem): I removed my R9 280x and...

Anyone using 10 GbE or SFP+ on a hackintosh?

Hey guys! I'd like to improve my network speed by switching from link aggregated GbE to 10 GbE (ten gigabit of copper ethernet) or SFP+ (fibre channel). Is anyone already using this on a hackintosh? I can't a lot of information about that. I found the Thecus C10GTR using a Tehuti TN4010 chip...

    R9 280x 6GB and FCPx

A quick update: I think it's not a FCPx problem since I noticed no video is playable using the quicktime player. I get this error: "The document “xyz.mov” could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (-101)" Maybe this is a sound problem. My audio in- and output devices are empty and the...
