Just updated three Hackintoshes. Two with Gigabyte Z97-based mobos, one with old Asus P7P55D mobo. To save traffic, used standalone installer downloaded via link on this site. No problem whatsoever.

ASUS P7P55D. Just installed the update from previously downloaded .dmg. Did nothing special. Encountered no problems whatsoever.

Everything is perfect. Asus P7P55D, update to 10.9.1 via Appstore. No sound, but it was like that before.

Asus P7P55D. Sound worked with 10.6. With 10.8 upgrade I lost audio. Now, after 10.8.5 upgrade I got "Stiil waiting for root device", but unexpectedly audio is back again!

Just updated from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2. Did it twice. First on a cloned HDD, just to try before proceeding on main SSD disk. Second, on SSD. Both times absolutely successful. Updated according to advice, not through integrated Software Update, but from downloaded ComboUpdate. Everything passed...
