I'm currently running 4 monitors.
2 are running off my primary GPU (MSI GTX 660 Ti)
2 are running off my secondary GPU (EVGA GeForce GT 640)
Mobo is GA-Z77X-UD5H
When I try to rotate the displays on my primary GPU (GTX 660 Ti) the screen just goes black. I can see the cursor, but...
I'm currently running a GTX660 TI successfully on a GA-Z77X-UD5H mobo (OS is 10.8.1).
However, I want to add some more monitors. Can I just add a GT640 to drive extra monitors since it works OOB?

Thanks so much for the info. I've been reading through the forums and it looks like getting 2xGT 640s working would be a huge hassle, if not impossible.

Hmmm, actually I guess I really don't need the thunderbolt. I'm going to go with your suggestion and get the GA-Z77X-UD5H.
I want to hook up 3 monitors for now. will I need to put a second GT 640 in there to make that possible?
Awesome, thanks for checking it over! I think I'm gonna stick with the thunderbolt mobo just because I have an iMac and might want to pick up some thunderbolt HDDs once they become more affordable.
