    swapping out hard drives

No I can I get out of this mess? I was able to get back up running by getting into the bias and changing which drive is the boot drive. Not sure how that changed. Do I need to clone again or can I just add the EFI partition to the new drive afer the fact.

    swapping out hard drives

No. But why when I take out the new drive and put the old one back in the system wont load. I was under the impression that CCC also copied the EFI partition

    swapping out hard drives

Ok, I did this with the unpaid version. At first it worked great. When I restarted my computer Chimera showed 2 boot drives on the screen. I chose the new drive and hit enter and it booted right up. Couldnt have been happier. I did it again to make sure with the same results so I shut down...

    Pro Tools midi

I am sure you are right and that it is a configuration problem. I have tried to figure this out but have had no luck. I create 2 tracks, one aux , one midi. I insert an instrument plugin on the aux track then put that instrument in the out of the midi track. Then I do the same for the other...

    Pro Tools midi

I am trying to set up two midi controllers in Pro Tools and I am not having any luck. One is a Akai MPD24 drum pad to control my drum plugins and the other is an M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboard controller for my synth plugins. The problem is I can't get them to work separately. When I am using the...

    UAD-1 and Powercore

Yes I have swapped cards back and forth. Not only isn't the card being recognized but every time I try and install the software, ( 4 different versions now) it causes kernel panics and I cannot boot up except into safe mode. I was going crazy trying to find out why. I solved the problem through...

    UAD-1 and Powercore

I got the UAD card to work fine but I can't get the Powercore PCI card to work at all. I have tried 4 different software versions but no luck. The control panel does not recognize the card. Any ideas? Sure would like to get the card working, it has some great plugins on it.

    UAD-1 and Powercore

I ended up reinstalling the OSx in 32 bit mode. I guess I ran Multibeast too many times and created some sort of conflict. My UAD card is running fine. It sounds like if I want to run the Powercore as well I'll need to find an older 32 bit driver. I assume that since I am running in 32 bit...

    PCI cards not working

This has not worked for me. I have a UAD-1 and a Powercore PCI. I have tried arch=i386 and changing the Multibeast boot option setting to 32bit apple boot screen which I believes does the same thing. No Luck. any other suggestions. I have searched the site and can't seem to find the...

    UAD-1 and Powercore

I am having trouble with my operating system recognizing my UAD-1 and Powercore PCI cards. I have researched this problem and have come to the conclusion that the cards won't run in a 64 bit architecture. They need 32 bit. I have tried the arch=i386 command during bootup and have had no luck...
