My front case fan is currently a 3-pin model and is stuck on full speed as a result (I transplanted this 7010 motherboard into a 3010 housing, with liberal Dremel usage...). I have an 80mm PWM fan and an adapter cable in the mail, but I've unplugged the front fan for this test since it would...
My bad! That link was from my search results on ebay.co.uk for "Quadro K600". There were other options in the search results, but I have not done my due diligence and confirmed their model version, and so I will refrain from linking.
I bought my Quadro from cisl_company, but their listing...
I happened to have the i7-2600 already (found in a PC being recycled). I also have 12GB of 1333MHz DDR3 that came with it, so I think that will be alright.
As @trs96 mentioned, I may need to look into the system definitions more to see whether this will work properly; I may try reverting to...
Hello,
I've just finished setting up an Optiplex 7010 SFF with this guide and it was about as seamless as is possible.
At the moment, I have an i5-3550 installed but will be attempting to switch to an i7-2600 for its hyperthreading once my fan adapters arrive from China.
While looking for a...
Nice going!
If you mean the pre-unibody MacBook Pros, the iSight camera is on the USB bus. From personal experience, the cables going to the cameras themselves are not the same across all the different MacBook Pro variants (at the very least, the A1211 (2006 Core 2 Duo) and A1260 (Early 2008...
My IR board (out of a 2006 iMac) is still working with Mavericks.
Also, a MacBook Pro IR board installed in my MacBook Pro works just fine in Mavericks.
Since all you're doing is re-wiring a USB connection, I see no reason why one wouldn't work (unless something got fried).
I'm not aware of a way to have OS X boot into a command line every time.
However, you can boot it into single-user mode, which is a command line with root permissions, by typing in "-s" on the Chimera screen or by holding command-S on startup on a real Mac.
I'm not sure if this is what you...
I've been having the same issue on 10.8.4 on both my Hackintosh and my MacBook Pro...
But it's that all the navigation tools on the bottoms of pages don't work at all.
Article: Chimera 2.2 Update
Awesome!
Right after I gave in and bought a dedicated graphics card, too!
Maybe I should clone my install and see if I can get the HD2500 to work.
I've done the same thing. It works on 10.6.8 and 10.8.4, to the best of my knowledge.
The previous owner of my 2006 MacBook Pro 2,2 had upgraded the hard drive, but he'd also dinged the flex cable which runs over the hard drive in such a way that neither the IR sensor nor the "sleep" LED were...
Never mind. The issue for me seems to be that my flash drive died.
Unibeast 1.7 isn't working for me with the Mac App Store download of 10.8.4.
The progress bar just stopped at about 40% of the way through. Maybe I'm just impatient, but it's taking quite a long while.
EDIT: It seems to give...
jmaxdp,
Are HD 4000 graphics working out for you? I haven't been able to get it to work. Do you have a transparent menu bar (a sign that the graphics kext loaded)?
EDIT: Never mind. My CPU has HD 2500 graphics, not HD 4000. Oops.
Has anybody tried this yet? Should this work because the MBP's listed above have the right kind of CPU?
I have an i5-3550. My setup will sometimes boot normally if I wait long enough, but I get sick of waiting after about 5 minutes and boot it to safe mode.
Hello jmaxdp,
I've got the same motherboard and a CPU whose HD4000 graphics I am using, and am also experiencing the flashing sidebars and videos, so this probably isn't an isolated issue. I'm running 10.8.2, so the flash issues from 10.8.0 haven't been resolved yet. Did you get audio to work...
