Anyone figure this one out?
I have an Asus P8Z77-V board and a i5-3570k. I'm on the 2003 BIOS. I set the iGPU to 64MB. I have a fresh install stick for 10.10 and using UniBeast. I've tried damn near every conceivable combination of boot options to simply load the installer and nothing works...
Yeah I was and I haven't had time to trouble shoot them. A clean install of 10.10.1 was working without ALC1150. However, when I did an App Store update which was just Safari and iTunes (i think), it broke my boot! When I last checked, it was tied to USB3 so something with that update broke the...
I did a clean install of 10.10.1 on my Z97X-UD5H tonight. I have my config saved for MultiBeast 7.1.1 and I can confirm that it is not working properly on this board when using the ALC1150 option. I am getting a "No output devices found" after a reboot.
I did that and it's still kicking out console messages about the sound assertion. My DSDT edit is identical to the HDEF edits using layout 1.
My system information is showing the same as the screen shots in the guide.
Updated, reinstalled the kext & rebooted. Still getting the spam in Console. I assume that now I have to manually patch AppleHDA with the 10.8.2 guide for my setup.
I'm using a GA-P35-DS3L running 10.8. I have a modified DSDT that works using the ALC888 Legacy kext from the latest MultiBeast (5.2.1). My problem though is that shortly after boot, I'm getting spammed with the following in my Console:
Here is my HDEF section from the DSDT:
Here is my IOreg...
I did that mod with the MBP IR receiver and it works awesome with my Harmony One remote. The remote itself is a little odd but overall I really like the setup.
Can anyone confirm that HDMI audio is working on this board? I would like to know if someone has had success before I commit to the purchase. More specifically, I'd like to know if anyone has got 7.1 sound out of this board. Thanks!
Well I patched it anyway. So I should have native CPU and speedstepping from the looks of it with the modded ROM. To save others the hassle, I'm linking the posts below.

Well that was pretty easy. The attached file is used via USB Flashback only! Once the LED on your board stops flashing, it's complete. Easy enough! My understanding is that once this is done, we don't need a DSDT to install OSX with this board.
Yeah thanks. I was just reading up on USB flashback and may try that out soon.
As for the DSDT, I've been around since the beginning of the Gigabyte boards and when you extracted them, they had to be "patched" to be compatible with OSX. I assume that it is similar to this "patched ROM" that I'm...
Consider me in on this request too. While it's tempting to use another file, I'm almost tempted to extract my own but I don't know how to edit it myself. If someone can help with that, we can make this happen.
I was under the impression though that others have used patched ROM files for the EFI...
