[Guide] Patching DSDT/SSDT for LAPTOP backlight control

Use Rehabman's driver on my Dell laptop, without any modification for brightness keys mapping, I have Fn + F6 triggering brightness down. Any other Fx key, or Fn + Fx key combination doesn't trigger brightness up. How can I map the keys to have brightness-up to work. Following are related log...

[Guide] Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext

Hi. I have implemented following this thread and USB ports seem to work properly. But I have a problem with sleeping. If no USB attached, it can go to sleep normally, both automatically or triggered manually. But if only 1 USB (any of my USB ports) attached, it goes to black screen then wakes...

Dell M7510 Black screen after wakeup

Applied EDID patched as suggested, but still not working. For more detail, if I click sleep and then click a keyboard button to cancel the sleep process, it wakes up (???) normally, including sound working. But if I leave the sleep process untouched, it seems to go to full sleep after about...

Dell M7510 Black screen after wakeup

Originally, I post my question here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/skylake-hd530-sleeps-but-wont-wake.190929/ But someone moved it to this thread, don't know why. By the way, I found nowhere in your mentioned Sierra issues thread about waking from sleep on Skylake CPU. So what I should do...

Dell M7510 Black screen after wakeup

Sorry not to note, my system is Sierra, not High sierra. So the issue in your link is not related, right?

Dell M7510 Black screen after wakeup

I have black screen after wakeup from sleep on my Dell M7510 hackintosh. Read many threads about the issue but still haven't found any clue. I have Skylake HD530 and a Nvidia M2000M (disabled by DSDT). Native powermanagerment and backlight control seems working. When sleep (auto sleep, or force...

[Guide] Intel Kaby Lake NUC7 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7BNH, NUC7i5BNK, NUC7i3BNH, etc)

How to know whether Skylake spoof has been activated. I connect to a 4K LG TV, and have random glitches and black screen blinks (sometimes can not recover from black screen and have to hard reset). Applied Skylake spoof but still the same. One more question, how to know Thunderbolt is working...

[Guide] Intel Kaby Lake NUC7 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7BNH, NUC7i5BNK, NUC7i3BNH, etc)

There is nowhere in the first post mention about bluetooth functionality. So does it work OOB, or not work at all? On mine, bluetooth hardware seems to be loaded by system, saying from system information's bluetooth, but when try to search for devices, it takes forever to find nothing.

    Restart not work, shutdown instead

Did as suggested but still the same. Hope you have some other idea?

    Restart not work, shutdown instead

I have almost working system, except for normal restart. Hardware: Dell precision m7510, Intel HD530, Nvidia M2000M with Optimus enabled but turned off using DSDT patch. Everytime select restart on system menu, it takes about 3 secs then shutdown instead of restart. It seems not a normal...

[Guide] Native Power Management for Laptops

Apply the "USB _PRW 0x6D (instant wake)" patch as you suggested, and sleep seems to work now. But the shutdown instead of restart still persists. Found no similar issue on web. In the contrary, many have trouble with shutdown instead of restart.

[Guide] Native Power Management for Laptops

Sorry if my question is not completely off-topic, but I think at least it relates to power manager. My system works well before sleep, but when going to sleep (auto or force by sleep command), it takes long, about 10secs for everything to turn off (keyboard, hard disk, etc), then everything turn...

[Guide] Intel IGPU HDMI/DP audio (all Sandy Bridge -> Kaby Lake [and likely later])

Finally resolve above problem with combination of below 2 patches on AppleIntelSKLGraphicsFramebuffer kext 1. Add clover patches as below to add one more FrameBuffer: <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>10.11-SKL-1912000-4_displays</string>...

[Guide] Intel IGPU HDMI/DP audio (all Sandy Bridge -> Kaby Lake [and likely later])

Checked on windows. My external Dell displays, connected through DP, reports that connecting to Intel 530. Removed the redundant injected _DSM as stated in previous post too but no change. Do you have any idea?

[Guide] Intel IGPU HDMI/DP audio (all Sandy Bridge -> Kaby Lake [and likely later])

Actually I'm not thouroughly understanding the fact behind this hack, so just try and fail. With only hda-gfx injecter on IGPU, I have only hda-gfx under IGPU in ioreg. But you stated that it works only when there existed under both IGPU and HDEF, so added one more for B0D4, from the the fact...

Clover Patches for working PCI sd card reader(Work in Progress)

I have a PCIe card reader too (not sure but can tell it from DPCIManager). Do following your guide but not works. Tried with both Vendor/Device and SubVendor/SubDevice pairs show in PDCIManager because not sure which to be used is correct. Do you have any suggestion? P/S: my hardware is Dell...

[Guide] Intel IGPU HDMI/DP audio (all Sandy Bridge -> Kaby Lake [and likely later])

Didn't know that method duplicating apply to all aml files, not each file itself. New lesson for me :) So have restarted everything from scratch, and have it boots successfully, get hda-gfx="onboard-1" under HDEF and IGPU, but still the same issue, DP not works and crash when plug out. Log...

[Guide] Intel IGPU HDMI/DP audio (all Sandy Bridge -> Kaby Lake [and likely later])

Add the patch as you suggest, and stuck at boot screen as attached file. For more info, my audio codec is Realtek3235 (Realtek293) not supported by AppleHDA patched then I have to use a patched AppleHDA and inject audio layer 13, as described in below link. Does this cause any conflict with the...

[Guide] Intel IGPU HDMI/DP audio (all Sandy Bridge -> Kaby Lake [and likely later])

Yes, my laptop has 1 built-in display connect via DP (guessing from what I see in ioreg), 1 HDMI and 1 mDP port for external display. With intel HD 530 enable and Nvidia disabled, I have HDMI port work as expected, but mHD not works and cause crashing when unplug. With Nvidia enable and Intel HD...
