Has anyone ever attempted a imac G3 casemod?

Microphone is now working, if you're interested you need to wire the follow to get it going: iMac Microphone White -to- White cable in 3.5mm which is the left channel iMac Microphone Black -to- Red cable in 3.5mm which is the right channel iMac Microphone Red -to- Ground cable in 3.5mm which is...

Has anyone ever attempted a imac G3 casemod?

The (soon to be) internal LCD will only do 1024x768 as you just can't get higher res 15" panels. I have an external 22" monitor so screen estate won't be too bad though.

Has anyone ever attempted a imac G3 casemod?

Ok here are some pics of the project thus far... I wasn't documenting the earlier stages of the build, hence my numerous f*** ups aren't shown :D also I have been very dremmel-happy in places which has resulted in having to purchase a 2nd 15" LCD. In short once I'd cut everything into shape I...

Has anyone ever attempted a imac G3 casemod?

I'm actually in (fingers crossed) final stages of an iMac G3 hackintosh mod, I've essentially put the CustoMac Mini Deluxe in an old G3 I bought and gutted (actually 2 x G3's as the internal (sh!tty grey plastic) screen surround was knackered on the first one, as was the power button). I'm also...

Forcing 1024x768x32 on Intel HD Graphics 4000

Solved this myself, it wasn't anything to do with Chameleon and had everything to do with the way the GA-Z77N-WIFI handles video outputs. There are 2 x HDMI and 1 x DVI on the board, the bottom HDMI (the one nearest the board) is a duplicate of the DVI port so once booted into OS X I simply...

Forcing 1024x768x32 on Intel HD Graphics 4000

Hi All, I'm having an issue forcing my new Hack project (essentially a CustoMac Mini Deluxe built into a G3 iMac case/surround) to boot into 1024x768x32, the hack boots just fine when I connect a 19" (1280x1024 native res, connected via the HDMI port (mobo) to DVI port (display)) display using...

    boot0: GPT, boot0: test, boot0:test, boot0:done - since migration assistant

Tried the above and no joy still, so I 'fixed it' by a re-install and restore from TM and the re-installed Chimera... Not really a fix but it works, also random this solved my presumably unrelated (but obviously not) iMessage problem.

    boot0: GPT, boot0: test, boot0:test, boot0:done - since migration assistant

Ok I've been trying other things to no avail, tried Clover - same problem, then re-installed Chimera hoping that it would have flushed any bad bootloader files that Chimera re-install wasn't touching - again no joy. This leads me to believe that Chimera/Clover are/were working just fine and the...

    boot0: GPT, boot0: test, boot0:test, boot0:done - since migration assistant

Just checked and it was there but was a different size to the version on my (Unibeast) USB. So I replaced the HDD version for the USB version, but I still get the same error. I think it's a Chimera issue but I don't know what's different from installing Chimera from the app or via Unibeast...

    boot0: GPT, boot0: test, boot0:test, boot0:done - since migration assistant

It's obvious yes... it's also a different problem, maybe change your name to 'reading is your friend' ???

    boot0: GPT, boot0: test, boot0:test, boot0:done - since migration assistant

I am getting the same error too again after using the migration assistant, I can boot from my install USB no problem. I have also tried booting direct from a Chimera USB but it complains that it can't see 'mach_kernel' from any of my Hackintosh boot drives... Which makes no sense (as I am...
