quick update* i'm now able to get unibeast to load the installer with the following flags: "PCIRootUID=0 cpus=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -x -v" unfortunately Disk Utility doesn't recognize my hdd. only thing it sees is unibeast.

i tried to install both via app store and downloaded the combo update. both resulted in failed installations. i also tried installing on two different partitions (main and test partition) and neither one installed successfully. luckily my partitions are still working after the failure. not sure...

Article: OS X 10.8.2 Update so i finally got it to work. turns out my video card (nvidia gt610) isn't compatible with 10.8.2 right away. you have to edit the info.plist file and add your device id. here's the link that has all the info. hope that can help those with the same video card as mine.
