I had to re-sign the patched framework binary and that solved the problem with Display Preferences crashing. I now have Night Shift working natively on an unsupported 10 year old iMac!
I do have night shift working on my 2007 iMac with the ati Radeon 2400 XT (doesn't support metal or night shift) by using clover boot loader and a smbios that makes my iMac think it is a late 2013 model iMac (that does support metal and night shift natively)
But I'm trying to get it to work...
I mentioned a couple post up that I found that isight works fine on 10.12.3, the green light comes on and I can see myself in the camera.
Once I update to 10.12.4, iSight is seen in System Report under Hardware- camera but when I go to use it the green light doesn't come on and the camera view...
2007 iMac that is running macOS 10.12. Im trying to gain some functionality that isn't supported on my iMac. I got the offset for Macs that are supported for Night Shift by doing this
And then got a dump of the data by doing this
So now I'm looking at the data and found the location and "0d"...
Its actually the 10.12.4 update that messes with iSight. It shows up in System Info but won't actually turn on when FaceTime or anything with the camera is used. in 10.12.3 it still works fine. green light comes on and camera actually turns on for FaceTime and I can see myself
I agree but the green light doesn't come on and screen is black
Sorry about not having anything attached. there was either a problem on that end or my internet and I was having problems. They should be attached now.

Thats what it was. I found an EFI on the other hhd drive I have in place of the superdrive. I deleted that and I see that I have bluetooth again and the USB ports work. So now ill finish the Guide.
the isight still isn't working right. if I open photo booth or FaceTime I don't get the, no camera...
Iv sent an email to have that kozman account deleted. So please give me some slack.
Is there a way to verify that? that is the config file from /EFI/EFI/Clover
Do you see there being any different kind of problems doing this on a real iMac? I checked to make sure the code was pasted properly in the config file as Xcode see the changes to be made. When I had something wrong Xcode would either not see it or wouldn't even open the config file with an...
