So you're saying if I have a graphics card that only outputs DVI and Mini-HDMI I won't be able to get above 1080p?

    iCloud and Raid 0

I know this problem has come up before in the forums but all the posts I've seen are old and don't know if they are still valid. I have a Macintosh software raid 0, but this makes it so iCloud doesn't work. iTunes works, the App Store works, but when I go to sign into iCloud I get this...

New UEFI updates for Gigabyte's high-end Z77 boards

I just updated my GA-Z77X-UD5H. My first time updating a BIOS. It looks like my system setting have been completely reset, even the new version of ML got rolled back...weird. All my files are still here though. Is this normal?

Let the comments fly on my proposed $4K system

if you're going to do 3d rendering you should go with a 5xx series NVIDA card as the 6xx series are crippled for GPUGP. Check out the benchmarks, the 5xx series win hands down and they are cheaper.

Graphics card recommendation for a non gamer / heavy Adobe CS5 user

I'd go with a 5xx card vs a 6xx card as the 6xx cards were built for gaming and not so much as much for general computing. At least in GPU rendering I know that the GTX 580 beats the GTX 680 hands down.

First Build --- Tell Me what You think

Windows is secondary, I may use it, I may not. Most important is that I'm using the machine to do 3d modeling/rendering in blender. I also use Xcode a lot.

First Build --- Tell Me what You think

My first build...I know there's a lot of us right now, please bear with us :) Some of these components are from the CustoMac guide, but a few are thrown in. Am I missing anything, are there superior componentes for less money, am I crazy?. Also, if I later want to SLI another GTX 580, what...

    Best CUDA GPU Rendering Option

I've looked at the Quadro but from user reported benchmarks in this http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?239480-2.61-Cycles-render-benchmark blender artists thread the quadro got destroyed by the GTX 580. Not to mention, I could SLI two 580s for about the same price of the quadro 4000...

    Best CUDA GPU Rendering Option

I'm working on my first Hackintosh and I really want it to scream when it comes to doing GPU rendering in Blender. For now I think Blender's cycles renderer only supports one card, so SLI aside, what is the best single NVIDIA card that I can get that can be made fully functional with Mountain...
