Until recently I have used two Dell U2713HM 2560x1440 monitors without a problem. One is connected to the HD4000 DisplayPort output and the other is connected to the ATI5450 DVI output.
I want to add a third monitor and I had an old HP LP2065 1600x1200 monitor to test. I connected this to the...
I want to further 'shrink' my Hackintosh Mini and the only way I can do that is to lose the VGA card.
I now have an Intel DH77DF MoBo with Intel Core i7 3770T CPU with HD4000 graphics.
I want to have a new motherboard for my current CPU that supports dual monitors with 2560x1440 resolution...
I am looking to upgrade my Hackintosh to Haswell.
Is there a Mini-ITX motherboard that supports dual monitors with 2560x1440 resolution?
If so I could ditch my HD5450 VGA card and just run the Intel 4600 integrated graphics.
Would a GIGABYTE GA-Z87N-WIFI be suitable? It has dual HDMI...
In theory any mini ITX should work but you have to be careful that the Northbridge heatsink and/or memory slots do not interfere with the heatpipes.
My system works fine with just 100W but I am not a gamer. The biggest picoPSU is 160W so that would be the limiting factor.
I already figured it out.
I added this to my org.chameleon.Boot.plist and now both displays show the desktop when booting is finished.
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>2560x1440x32</string>
I still have the automatic wake when sleeping for the first time.
Also there is something that bothers me. I have a dual monitor setup with HD4000 and HD5450 graphics.
When booting the display with the HD4000 shows the white screen with the spinning wheel.
When booting is finished the...
Did you use a special USB 3.0 motherboard cable to get USB 3.0 working?
The motherboard has three options to connect front panel USB ports:
* Blue USB 3.0 Front Panel Connector
* Yellow High Current USB 3.0 Front Panel Connector
* Black USB 2.0 Dual Port Header
Which one did you use...
Tried it but doesn't work on my setup with the HD4000/HD5450 combination. With the new DSDT and without the device-properties entry in org.chameleon.Boot.plist the HD4000 graphics is not recognized.
This is what I could find:
30-11-12 14:21:27,000 kernel[0]: Wake reason: XHC EHC2 EHC1
After that it is:
30-11-12 14:24:20,000 kernel[0]: Wake reason: EHC2 EHC1
So XHC is the culprit for the initial immediate wake, whatever it weans.
I did some further testing and to my surprise Sleep/Wake also works on my system without the DSDT?
The only thing different is that Wake by Mouse doesn't work, only Power Button or Keyboard Wake functions.
Here are my BIOS settings.
My Extra/Extensions folder is empty.
In S/L/E my AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext is from 31 May 2012.
I have no NullCPUPowerManagement.kext.
For Audio I use the ALC898 Driver Without DSDT from MultiBeast 5.1.0.
For Ethernet I use the hnak's...
