[Guide] Dell Inspiron 15 7559 (skylake)

I added the latest fully working OC folder to the original post. (OC-04/2022). It's still 0.7.5 which is working fine with Monterey 12.3.1. It also works with Big sur... just uses min/max kernel parameters for the kext differences for bluetooth. If you have a different variant than I do then you...

Not yet. I like sidecar and universal clipboard so I may be downgrading back to Big sur myself.

An 11" m1 iPad pro. FeatureUnlock.kext did not help. It worked in Big Sur, so it's probably something with BlueToolFixUp.kext

With my DW1560 Airplay mirroring to an appletv works as well as normal bluetooth connectivity to headphones but no sidecar to an ipad. When you manually pair with an ipad on Monterey using Bluetoolfixup.kext it connects for a second then loses connection.

I am having an issue trying to install an app on my apple tv through xcode... so I'm not sure if its working 100%. You're right, I can not get my ipad to show up for sidecar.

I was having problems too and remade a USBMap.kext. Make sure to have the port with the broadcom device as type 255 and have USBMap.kext load before Brcm and Bluetool ones.

Were you able to get past the OS picker with the @slipaknot folder? If you're getting blank screens with all OC folders then you should double check your bios settings. - AHCI mode should be selected under SATA - Disable VT for direct I/O - Advanced Battery Charging should be disabled - Secure...

Before I saw this I started from scratch building a Monterey OC folder and was able to clean up a lot of the ACPI stuff, changed audio and graphics in device properties, and the trackpad now works with different voodoo kexts... this works on the non-4k version. (I think adding -cdfon as a boot...

SATA-unsupported.kext is replaced CtlnaAHCIPort.kext for big sur. I would also remove Sinetek-rtsx.kext. I haven't ever used hwpenabler.kext or CPUFriend.kext, you might want to check those for Big Sur compatibility.

When you reboot and try the same process again do you still get the black screen? If I use clover after using OC I get a black screen but if I reboot and try again it works. Is it a black screen or is the monitor not getting any signal? You said you can hear sound but the screen is black? Is...

The "GPI0 _STA to _XSTA" patch is a good example. Since there are other _STA instances in the DSDT that you do not want to patch you count how many to skip over... in MaciASL you can search in your DSDT for what you are patching ("_STA" here) then count how many are before it, 19 here. Different...

I thought it was stuck on the apple logo too but I waited a long while and it continued.

I think the 3rd reboot is where I thought it was stuck for me too but I waited for about 10 minutes and it continued. I also upgraded from 10.15.7

If you use the OC folder I posted the only thing you need to add is the "-cdfon" bootflag for the 4k display and it should work. If not it could be a BIOS setting. Make sure secureboot is disabled and these:

I had to also remove AirPortBrcm4360_Injector.kext for Big Sur to boot but it seems to be working well! I made the change to the OC-0.6.3 folder attached to the guide. NOTE: I thought it was stuck after installing while showing the Apple logo with a loading bar but after about 5 minutes it...

I reuploaded the OC-0.6.3 folder because I replaced the SATA-unsupported.kext with CtlnaAHCIPort.kext which is compatible with Big Sur. Now that the public Big Sur Release Candidate is out, I'm going to install it and see if I have any issues.
