Thanks for the guide. So far the setup I created will shut down the machine about after the preliminary OC read out for an established OS 12 drive. For the OS 13 installer it behaves a bit diffeent stopping at the log:exitbs:start.
Going to try some settings from the guide. Pixel...
Thank you. Not sure its the same thing. Just 256mb/512 settings, says total memory internal graphics device shares. Maybe related to hybrid thing. Never had that type of laptop.
Have tried first to start from scratch following the dortania guide, then when not working was trying to mess with a...
Hmm.. Tried that and no long booting with the acpi errors. Now installer behaved more like the os 12 drive, crashed and rebooted. Tried to see what caused crash but it did not get far enough to tell. Panic occurred prior to initialization
Version w/i7 cpu. same as the MBP16,1. Installer just goes and goes with that error repeated.
Tried on an OS 12 drive and I think crash was video related. Just goes through verbose and reboots
The DSDT has no USBX
I had the open core tool working before that toggled sip but now I enable it and its not showing in the boot picker. I have the shell and clear nvram unlabled just called "tool" but thats it. Is OS 13 different in that respect?
Edit: Whoops, I found it. Not a tool but a driver!
Running smbios imac18,2 on skylake on 13. Was trying to get the machine to play some drm tv app. I executed the temporary overrides but failed to make sure I knew how to undo them. I have tried changing the Yes to No but not sure about getting all of them
I get:
iMac:~ Lysander$ defaults read...
That was not the ticket. Maybe because there was one single reference in the DSDT to UPRW only. Was looking at some work by 5t33z0 where they mentioned that some tables don't use any of the 3 methods proposed by dortania. This is by addressing _prw devices with 0x0D0 or 0x6D where the 2nd byte...
It uses open core and UPRW-SSDT is not helping it. Turned off all of the relevant uefi settings such as whats suggested by Dortania. There were no GPRW or LANC and the instance of UPRW was one single hit on find.
When it was using clover and had the DSDT edits for _PWR it would sleep with the...
Cool, thank you. That makes sense. I will just use hackintool to re-map the usb. So with the way the new USB system works, the EHCI ports wont show up in system info or IOregistry Explorer these days? Or if they do, no devices will be on them because the system mixes and adds them to the XHCI...
Hey thanks I will see how it goes. Did I understand the wording in that the new config should be edited to add the serial number and then replace the OC folder on the drives EFI with the new one but dont boot from the drive but boot from another copy of the new OC folder on the EFI of a USB...
Pro Desk 400 G1.. I was using some newer versions of pciid but I don't think UIA. Though I know there is an updated version of that I saw also
H81 I guess
Ok, it has only 8 ports 4 in front and 4 in back. top 2 in front are usb3 ... What I wonder about is in about system or ioregistry exploror, would there ever be anything showing up on usb2?
using an 8 ser HP sff on monterey smbios imac17,1 with an xhc controller and 2 ehc controllers. Trying to get anything to come up on the ehcs I have been unable to do. What did I not see? Do I need to use an older os to get hackintool to have them seen? I heard that uia does not work in...
after ordering the hd 7750 of course, I found the radeon pro wx 4100 that was small enough to fit in sff... which I would recommend over the one I ordered... unless you are wanting to run older os
Yes they all work but just not the best sounding on any of them. That HP! I see it looks like from the pic tells where the codecs got made from. Apparently the g2 differs. Probably mostly because its a mini instead of sff. 15 sounded a little better than the other 2. The volumes were low on...
Hey
Found your experience useful here putting together a machine. Got for thirty dollars with no HD. Pro desk 400 g1 sff The HD was about the same for a 500gb ssd. Now it has a not so good audio but works. The codec is alc221, one to steer away from if you are setting up a mac os set up! The...
disabling securebootmodel helped with some things but still had problems. Not sure what fixed it but changed a couple things that I think were the keys which were adding virtualsmc and checking releaseUSB. The reason not using virtualsmc is I thought it was built in somewhere because before...
I have those things, still trying to sort it out. Im thinking I may be having problems because of just the one DVI port on this thing. trying some other smbios for now. There are other AAPL,ig-platform-id, but just using the one everyone uses, though I thought I read its 4 DP so could be the...
