    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

So they've been busy. I had an issue since Catalina where my resolution would default to 1024 on my 4K LG. That's been fixed in 11.1 beta. No doubt AMD adding fixes as they continue to work on the Navi chips. That's it. My system is now pretty flawless. Happy till I get an ARM-based Mac :headbang:

    DW1560 Unlock with Apple Watch

For anyone struggling with this, try BrcmPatchRAM. What you describe sounds like the card is dumping the firmware, which is common on sleep state.

Help Needed on the BCM94360CS2 (Apple Branded One!)

    1. That card is from a 2013 Air. Apple didn't update the Air for a long time, but it's certainly not a modern card made in 2017. FWIW, it's a 2 stream wireless card capable of only 800 Mbps, hence the dual antenna (one for wifi, the other for BT). 2. As with every BCM card that needs an adapter...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

    @toleda just a correction, both the BCM94360CSAX and BCM94360CD have 4 antenna.

BCM94360CS2 Bluetooth, Airdrop and Handoff not working

You’ll likely need bcrm patch ram and perhaps airport bcrm fixup kexts. Both can be found under the acidanthera repo: https://github.com/acidanthera read their respective guidelines on how to properly apply them. They both need some level of configuratio. YMMV. with that said, no card, not...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

You are correct. I think the others are a bit confused. Either a PCIe or M.2 adapter will support any number of BCM cards. Both function the same and are supported by any system that has sockets to handle either interface. What the others are referring to is the actual onboard dedicated M.2...

literally nothing but inflate Geekbench scores. There are zero real world benefits. Utterly pointless unless you define yourself thru Geekbench lol

    A 867Mbps card won't be faster than a 1750Mbps card.

Working Wifi and BT via m.2 for Gigabyte Z390 I Aorus Pro Wifi

Exactly. You have not tested your system fully. People like you are why it took me so long to solve my issues and research the problem and solutions. Because you make claims and boasts about things you have not tested fully nor fully researched. You bought a card and thru it in a adapter. Wow...

    fenvi t919 Catalina

You're talking about the FV-HB1200, which is a slower card, marked at 867Mbps vs the T919, which clocks in at 1750Mbps. It is also not fully supported by macOS, at least not natively. Source out a BCM943602CS (3-connector wireless card) and grab a PCIe or m.2 adapter. Regardless, no matter if...

Working Wifi and BT via m.2 for Gigabyte Z390 I Aorus Pro Wifi

Yes and yes. You need something like this https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/linx-technologies-inc/CSJ-RGFB-100-MHF4/343-CSJ-RGFB-100-MHF4-ND/10821761 Since the card only supports two antennae, you're fine hooking up the stock ones that come with the board, which are actually decent...

BCM943602CS, Gigabyte Z370XP SLI and MacOS Catalina 10.15.5. Bluetooth works strange. Please help!

    1. You'll need AirportBrcmFixup.kext unless your country code is US. Matching country codes is important to wifi stability and performance. You can set your country code via the following boot arg: brcmfx-country. Setting the right driver on load also helps minimize cruft. That can be set by the...

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

Indeed. BS fixes a ton of weird issues on the install alone (like the white block on the top left of your screen as well as resolution drops). BS will no doubt have more optimizations for the Navi chips. I've only used it briefly but it felt very snappy and waking the display was a lot cleaner...

    New iMac20,2 SMBIOS

OC. Boot times will depend on how your Hack is set up. Having things set up properly typically makes the boot times negligible between the two. 1,1 will have proper power management, but you lose Sidecar. 7,1 has neither but carries the best GPU stability and performance. Timing depends on your...

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

10.15.x is not changing anything with low level drivers like your GPU. You need to update to 11.0 to see improvements (and there are quite a few).

    New iMac20,2 SMBIOS

It’s a myth that you should match your system specs to the SMBIOS model type. My system is in my sig and iMac19,1 is the closest there is. Yet it runs like a dog. iMacPro1,1 gives me solid performance and proper cpu power management that not even 19,1 provides. Yet it has a T2 chip so no...

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

@sosurim Unigine is a great one for GPU. It'll push your card into the red. Furmark is another good one. I find both a better alternative than Cinebench, especially if you're trying to OC your GPU. Furmark is exceptional at handling quick adjustments on the fly. And it clocks in at something...

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

No. You need to change the sections in the config accordingly as well as clear out the contents of /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration. If you're using iCloud, signing out helps avoid potential collisions or conflicts that could arise. Macs don't change their hardware and iCloud stores a...
