    Do you have NullCPU in either /Extra/Extensions or /S/L/Extensions ? Since you have a Gigabyte mobo you normally should not need it. There's a brief pause when AICPUPM "times out" and NullCPU takes over. If I understand things correctly that is.........

    Yep seen the problem many times. Could be Chimera / Chameleon issue or GPU driver for HD3000. Sometimes rebooting fixes it, other times a cold boot, some boots are "better" than others so its weird

    There is no "perfekt" Hackintosh build, you will always find things to dislike about them... But for design stuff at least get a good-looking case if it will be placed on a desk. Someone else will have to comment on the image quality of video cards; nVidia or ATI? which is better? I would think...
