When I run CleanMyMac X 4.14.6 on MacOS 14.2.1, it always crashes with the fatal error of "Namespace SIGNAL, Code 4 Illegal instruction: 4". Anyone has run into this issue before? Did I miss anything with OpenCore settings?
I have a Dell XPS 13 9343 with an Intel i5 5200U Broadwell CPU and HD 5500 integrated GPU. I successfully upgraded to MacOS Ventura on OpenCore 0.8.6 with SystemProductName set to "MacBookPro14,1". My next step is to run OpenCore Legacy Patcher, but I could not get there. The machine just...
I have a Dell XPS 13 9343 with Brodwell CPU and HD 5500 and am planning to upgrade it to Ventura. To do that I updated OpenCore to 0.8.6. Before doing the Ventura upgrade, I first tried to change the SystemProductName from "MacBookPro12,1" to "MacBookPro14,1" and still boot into Monterey. The...
Finally I got a BCM94360NG NGFF card which is also "plug-and-play" (it uses the same chipset as Apple's BCM94360CD/CS card). No Airport and BCM kexts are required. The whole AWDL feature set, two-way Airdrop, Universal Clipboard, etc, works.
I basically have the same laptop as you do. Also replaced the WiFi card with DW1860. But since the upgrade I have two issues I could not get around:
The USB-C connected external monitor no longer work. The port on the external monitor is also USB-C
Airdrop work one way: only iPhone to Mac...
Ever since being upgraded to Monterey, the external monitor could not be detected when connected to the USB-C port. What's the current status? Has anyone made it work?
My system is Dell XPS-15 9560. Has upgraded to 12.3.1, with OpenCore version from 0.6.8 to 0.8.0 now. I tried the USB-C port...
I actually copied and pasted your Kext section, except I kept included both BrcmBluetoothInjector and BlueToolFixup but using MinKernel and MaxKernel constraints for Big Sur and Monterey, so the kext load order should be the same as yours when running Monterey.
I included -igfxtypec in boot...
Thanks much for the reply. I replaced the DW1830 with an older DW1560, and surprisingly the older DW1560 works better. The bluetooth works well, even after sleep, while DW1830's bluetooth may even shutdown itself before going to sleep (using the my own config_1.plist).
I tried to replace the...
I followed your Inspiron installation guide. Using the same Kexts and Kernel Quirks. Largely the same behavior
Bluetooth is off after wake up
Airdrop only works one way, from iPhone to Mac
Sidecar and external monitor on type-C not working
The only difference is now Bluetooth is now not shown...
I tried rc.wakeup script and it seemed working. I tried it once then upgraded to 12.1, hoping the problems would be fixed but they are not.
Airdrop still worked one way, from iPhone to Mac.
The funny thing is that when iPhone was on 15.1.1, Mac to iPhone airdrop won't work, but if I also...
I upgraded my Dell XPS 15 9560 (i7-7700HQ, 4K touch screen) to Monterey. The systems works fine in general, except
The bluetooth (DW1830) is off after sleep. The bluettoth icon on menu bar shows on but no device. Bluetooth preference shows off and cannot be turn on.
On Big Sur it works most...
I enabled OpenCore debug and captured several log files (see attached). The ones dated 12-07 have 3 failed effort before a successful one leading to OC picker. The ones on 12-10 all failed to boot into OC picker, which ended up having to use USB installer to boot the machine.
It seemly confirms...
Hi Robbish, thanks again for the reply.
I ran ocvalidate again and still no complains. I looked at the Sample.plist. rtc-blacklist is empty, and DefaultBackgroundColor is the default black color so I did not add these two keys.
Also my UEFI->Drivers has only two entries and it does have...
Thanks again for the replies and help from Feartech, Robbish and c-o-pr.
I did clean the Clover stuff following the migration guide.
Now I cleaned the EFI partition with only just one EFI folder (OC 0.7.5) and used Robbish's cleaned-up config.plist. I also ran ocvalidate and there is no issue...
