Agree. But fair to add iMac comes with webcam and the fact that you technically save desk space with the all in one. That said it’s still not as good of a deal IMO.

I'm probably out of my league in this convo, but wouldn't the fact that this article and benchmarks are for the M1 Max in the MBP make it not a fair assessment of the M1 Max in the studio which should be capable of more power being its in a desktop with dedicated psu and better cooling?

Same here, though I'm playing with the idea of buying a refurbed M1 Mac mini to replace my current hackintosh until they announce M2/M1X, at which point I either get that or invest in a "Hackintosh-Pro" The M1 mini beats out my current build in single core and multi core.... BUT I do have 64GB...

I'm in the same boat as the poster of this thread. I use my current hackintosh (and previous) for professional Design/Animation work but looking to upgrade soon... But most likely will be going back to apple (M series). Just need to see what they deliver with the iMac M
