G5 USB 3.0 Front Panel and Audio

Glad to see my post was deleted... you guys really hate yurc. I hardly ever comment here because the rules are ungodly strict. No PM'ing, you can't even talk about designing something to benefit the community because the guy that put all his time and effort into it might want to make a few bucks...

Well if it's going to be dual USB3, then you can count me out. Darn... was hoping to keep it looking stock. Good luck with your project!

G5 USB 3.0 Front Panel and Audio

I'm digging the project! Got another G5 sitting in my closet that would be nice to mod. What color will the boards be? I'd personally pay a little more for a nice black PCB. If it's green, I'd stay away from it lol. Keep up the nice work! -Jeffinslaw

    Will this be adequate?

Got your PM ;) nice to see you are interested in water-cooling your G5. Beware, thinking about water-cooling is the beginning to a verrrry expensive addiction. However, that expense is well worth it when you turn on your computer, load up a game or start a render and ask yourself is my computer...

    MurderMac

Thank you! The fan controller is really great, it can handle a massive amount of watts so that means it can handle a ton of fans, probably a little overkill for this size of case though lol. Yes! Now that I cut the hole to the correct size, it worked out excellently, thanks again! -Jeffinslaw

Hey guys, I don't post here often but lurk a lot. I dig a few of the mods done here and thought I would post some pictures of my own. It is a heavily modded PowerMac G5 case. I had designed it for water-cooling but never actually completed the build for it. You can check out the rest of the...

    Dual Water G5 case mod

This isn't really true. The change in flow rate as you increase the diameter of the tubing won't increase because the water is still going through the holes in the fittings and their diameter doesn't change from fitting size to fitting size. They are all G1/4. And correct, the last item in...

    Project PowerMac i5 [Complete]

Just re-upload them to imgur, and then replace the links. Don't mess with the album thing here on the site. That way, users don't have to click on the picture, wait for it to load, and then view the image. They can view the full version in the page, no issues. Jeffinslaw

    Mac Pro custom PCB options

Ah good, I am glad you were able to talk to him. He has three versions available, all for the 2010 case and newer. I'm not sure if they fit the 2009 case though... anyways, I would suggest you get a 2010 case if you can so you can use those PCB's. Find a 2010 Mac Pro PSU too so you can use V3 of...

    Mac Pro custom PCB options

I would gladly repost it but it had links, and without the links, the post is worthless... I can't PM you either because I'll get in trouble for trying to help you without the community seeing it even though the mods won't let me post it in the first place..... Jeffinslaw
