Thanks. I was thinking about making a new build. But then I realized, I still dont utilize all the power in this one. So theres no real reason to build one, except a USB-C port would be nice. Anyway, can someone recommend a Graphics card with a MD port.

Just wanted to add. I had problems burning a DVD. Apparently that was due to the low ram count, so this works as well.

As mentioned in an edit. The Ram displays right in the Bios. I dont understand it, this has never been a problem before. But honestly, i didn't even Check it after installing El Capitan, but only just now found out. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ive been using El Capitan for a while now, but only just recently discovered that the system profiler only shows 4 gb of 16 gb of ram. Any idea on how to fix this. See specs in my profile. edit, i should add that the Bios detects it just fine.

same issue here. ga z77 ud5h F14, startech fw card.

I have the same problmen after installing a startech firewire card. The card works fine, but the computer restarts after a moment when i attempt to shut it down. wake on lan IS disabled.
