I routinely use those RED ports next to the Thunderbolt ports on our Z490s for USB 3.2 devices. The are fully functional.

Update deux, I swapped (for experimental purposes) the RX 6800 with a Sapphire RX 6600 XT Pulse. After boot to the OC picker, the Apple progress bar stuck at 45%. I remember discussions about incompatibility of the RX6700. Is the RX 6600 also a no go for Monterey?
