You are not the only one with this issue. In this forum there are at least two threads with the same subject. A fix / solution that solves it for everyone is not available yet AFAIK

I only can tell you I had the same issue since Beta 2. I think it is related to the NVidia graphics card. It seems only a few configurations have this bug. I have not found / seen a solution yet (except reverting to Intel HDxxxx graphics).

Check your EFI partition (mount it first or you will not see it): EFI\APPLE\UPDATERS. Maybe that is how the App Store knows about it! (I did not verify this myself, but seems logical). If this works, please let us know.

Sierra runs well from 1st Beta to this Candidate GM. Sleep works great, but no Wake from Sleep. Only reboot helps. This is related to NVidia Web Drivers. Does anyone have a solution / workaround? BTW Web driver from Beta 6 worked on Beta 7, works on GM (vs 367.10.10.05b01)
