    [Success] Guide: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 (EUFI)

I don't think your problem is UEFI... sounds like a bad install.. redownload ML from the appstore and unibeast it again. Also run the tests on the internal video card, and see if the problem continues, otherwise it might be some external video card problems.

Backup Solutions For Your Mac or CustoMac

Time machine is a great option until you clone the drive and try and use the same image. Luckily there is a utility called tmutil. Upgraded a friends MacBook pro the other day using ccc and a new 1tb drive. His time capsule backup on lion wouldn't recognize it due to the uuid mismatch. I had to...

    [Success] Guide: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 (EUFI)

Another thing I forgot to mention is that 12,2 gives you Apple Graphics Power Management, so for your external cards you wont lose FPS when it comes back from sleep like Mac Pro 3,1 does. Basically stay away from the Default system profile at all costs :) which is why antipopd is popular.

    [Success] Guide: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 (EUFI)

The performance is minimal from a geek bench perspective. And im using an XFX 6870, so I don't get the benefit of Airplay for some reason (if anyone wants to tackle that). My Geekbench from Lion to Mountain Lion is within a couple hundred... so ML is faster for sure. Also... Sleep...

    [Success] Guide: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 (EUFI)

The Audio pop is an easy fix, you can either go Mac Pro 3,1 or just get http://www.tomsick.net/projects/antipop.html I installed that antipopd and never have had the pop come back.

    ALC889 Sound Assertion Errors

So I agree, all the SMBIO settings (iMac 12,2 and MacMini) for my mobo give the popping. I end up using the MacPro 3,1 just because the popping is annoying :) I wonder why the mac pro is different and can we incorporate that somehow into the system (my knowledge isnt enough)

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

So I decided since I want to prep for ML... I updated to U1H tonight, and all I had to do was remove DSDT and reinstall the non-dsdt hda for audio and im back in business, my Geekbench is about 2000 higher at factory multiplier. Kinda bummed im stuck at 3800mhz but until we can overclock o...

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

I tried it on F12 (I haven't updated to U1h yet) and it does the same thing as other mac mini smbios def.'s. It pops after sound has been idle a few minutes. I was mainly just curious if it doesn't pop (and you confirmed it doesn't with your answer!) So now once over clocking gets fixed i'll...

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 U1H Bios

I have found that on the F12 bios that if I run any Mac Mini smbios that I get popping in the analog audio out (normal speakers). From my searches I found that people say the audio "goes to sleep" So I end up having to use the Mac Pro stuff.. Is it the same issues on the U1h bios?

Gordo Build: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with 5870/6870 (Guide Linked)

So which system definition are you guys using for this build? I have pretty much this same build and have been using the Mac Pro (Early 2008) and it runs great just wondering if I can squeak more out of it!
