Updated to 10.8.4 on Asus P8Z77-M + i7-3770. Applied ALC887(without DSDT) and Trim Enabler 10.8.3 before restart and everything works after restart.

Yeah, it is working. When boot up with your DSDT, no kernel panic. Seems like I missed out the EHCI and HDEF in my earlier patch. maybe that is the reason for kernel panic.

Noimnot, I have downloaded the DSDT and applied it using UserDSDT. Before that, I have tested to compile it using DSDT Editor and no errors have been observed. May I know what you have patched?

referring to the specification section on the Gigabyte official website, ivy bridge will give you pcie express 3.0 speed on Z77-DS3H. I would say go for ivy bridge since you need graphic performance. another cheaper motherboard would be GA Z77P-D3.
