I am still using this setup but I haven't booted it into macOS in well over a year. In fact, it's still running Sierra. Sorry, not sure how much help I can be at the moment.
Yup, been running it for quite a while now. As I have previously mentioned, I've been meaning to create a new install guide but have just been too consumed with other priorities. Maybe I will have some time this weekend to draft something. Stay tuned!
I do apologize for my hiatus, I have been meaning to create a new guide for El Capitan, but personal life changes have kept me extremely busy lately. I will be working on one soon, and I can tell you that the install process is much easier/simpler than before. I would always recommend doing a...
I actually just installed El Capitan onto a new drive successfully and am in the processes of taking screen shots in order to make a new guide. It will take me a bit to create the new guide, time permitting, but will posting one up soon.
Correct, assuming you also have a Gigabyte motherboard.
BIOS > BIOS Features > Windows 8 Features : Set this to "Windows8"
BIOS > BIOS Features > CSM Support : Set this to "Never"
BIOS > BIOS Features > Secure Boot : Set this to "Disabled"
Giving credit where it's due, please refer to the...
Worked perfectly! Had been at this for days!:banghead:
CSM Support & Secure Boot were already set as described in this post, but Windows 8 Features was set to "OtherOS". Now I can boot El Capitan & Windows 10 from Clover without issue. Thanks for posting this!
I too am having this same issue where when booting to Windows 10 presents me with just a black screen. I have read thru all of the posts in this thread and am trying to understand how you resolved this. When you said the above quote, could you elaborate a bit on the actual steps you took? Did...
Did not mean to offend bud, and you may have taken my comment out of context but we in the community appreciate all of the effort that our members contribute to the site. You did a great job creating the folder icon and sharing for others to use as well. Keep up the great work and feel free to...
It is very well possible that it's a hardware problem. See what happens when you update to the latest version of the nVidia drivers since the GTX 770 needs them. Let me know how you make out...
Could be an issue with PCI express card and you also may need nVidia drivers in your machine for your card model. I am not positive on that tho and will have to research to verify. But I cannot comment yet as I do not have any of those issues with my system using a GTX 780 running OS X 10.10.5.
I wonder if this may have something to do with your Clover configuration. I am not running F9c as this is still a "beta" release and in my opinion, not recommended. Have you tried booting it with Chimera? Or with your UniBeast USB? Will it boot with either of those methods? UniBeast uses...
Agreed - I have been using it on a VM (since it's release) as a test/mgmt box for my VMware environment, and I must say it is quite an improvement over Windows 8/8.1. My current rig is dual-booted with Windows (which I never boot into anyway) so I will definitely be upgrading when the time...
The "fix" is by either using a DSDT or SSDT with the proper edits for HDMI (like my DSDT's ) and placing that into the appropriate directory within the Clover partition. I honestly can't specify the process since I am not using Clover (I use the latest Chimera). When Yosemite was...
For some reason this update came up twice on my machine. Installed the first time fine, but when I restarted again it must have kicked off the 2nd install an now I cannot boot. Will keep trying before I resort to reinstall and restore from time machine backup :banghead:
Edit (5/4/15): I did...
Yes you can, to install drivers, etc. But you still need to edit the Clover config file to support whatever you've installed since Clover does not read from the org.chameleon.boot.plist which MultiBeast creates.
Not necessarily. You can install Chimera to the legacy partition where the OS is...
