I'd certainly try other discs, first. I ended up getting the BDR207 and, so far, it's been working for me. If other discs don't work, then it could be the drive. What are your system specs?

Thanks for the response. The drive plays discs just fine, but it does not write to them. I noticed on the recommended gear page that he had not checked off "read/write" for the drive. Maybe it's an isolated incident for me or maybe there really is an issue with the drive (maybe just under ML?)...

I finally got and installed the UH10LS20 and it won't see a lot of different discs for writing. Has anyone had any experience with this drive? It's the one Tonymac recommended and it's just not working for me right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to burn some BD-Rs for work...

Got the UH10 installed and all is well. Strangely, I think my issues had something do do with a bad batch of blank DVDs. They had worked for me in the past, but perhaps they're no longer compatible with newer models. They are probably a few years old. Weird, overall. But glad the new drive works...

Just updated my Z77X-UP5 TH to F9. All seems to be running smooth. Ethernet speed seems to be improved, as well, and on par with my Mac Pros. I was getting about a 20% decrease in speed below the Mac Pro transfer rate. Now, it's about 5% slower. I can live with that.
