Booting like an Apple Mac #1: Apple Splash Screen

Face Wizard is old, poorly-coded and a load of bollocks. Use CBROM instead: CBROM32_198.EXE BIOSFILE.FXX /logo LOGO.BMP Works every time.

First ASUS Z77 Thunderbolt Motherboards Released

It's got nothing to do with Apple and everything to do with how Thunderbolt works.

First ASUS Z77 Thunderbolt Motherboards Released

Absolutely incorrect. As for the whole Thunderbolt thing, I'm most probably going to decommission my 27" Cinema Display + fake Mac combo once the replacement for the Mac Pro/iMac comes around. Thunderbolt and the promise of daisychaining fast mass storage and many screens without multiple add...

making the Internal speaker of powermac work

There are entire theses that can be written on what's wrong with the speaker configuration in question from an acoustic fidelity perspective. Completely pointless exercise all round in my opinion...

making the Internal speaker of powermac work

Why? What benefit would getting a tiny, tinny mono excuse for a speaker located INSIDE your case to work possibly give you? Just get a can of Lynx (Axe of you're continental), a lighter, and torch the thing. With any luck it'll be coated in aromatic polyamide and give off a lovely purple flame...

Anyone know how to get GTX670 working?

Agreed. Most of his recent posts are nothing more than smarmy ripostes, often incorrect and less than useless.

    Gigabyte HD6870: Fan speed/temperature control

Those are normal temps. Post your Unigine score (1920x1080, default settings) and you'll be able to tell whether the card is clocking up properly.

    Gigabyte HD6870: Fan speed/temperature control

RE: Temp monitoring; In a word: FakeSMC. In several: FakeSMC + Radeon plugin. Both in Multibeast. Works perfectly. Fan control is managed by the graphics card's BIOS independently of OS. This is why you must edit the BIOS clock/fan profiles and flash the card rather than run a utility which...

Anyone know how to get GTX670 working?

There are now several posts telling you the same thing, namely your graphics card is not supported. You will not get higher resolutions. Do not pass go. Do not collect £200. Instead of moaning at forum members, maybe it would have been wise to research this before buying an unsupported card?

Looking for PCI RAID cards or SATA multipliers

PCI is a no-go I'm afraid, with standard 32-bit slots the total bandwidth for the entire bus is 133MB/s. You'll be lucky to hit that with a SATA card taking into account controller and driver overheads. Waste of time with modern drives, unless you really need more storage and are happy to...
