I will not be gaming on it, so I will probably go with integrated graphics as that should be able to handle any of my htpc stuff (movies, streaming) just fine for now.
So, perhaps I'll wait to make a haswell build if the integrated graphics are that much better.

Well, I will let you know if I figure something out. I know it is not hardware related, because a while ago after I built my system I was using a DSDT for HDMI audio using a HDTV as the main monitor and could get an extended display by hooking up a DVI monitor (I think that was with 10.8.1)...
