inx2mac, did you just use graphicsenabler=yes to get your 9800gt running? I am expcting my order next week, and my build is pretty much similar to yours (p55m-ud4, gb 9800gt silent cell, i7 860, i am going with a Kingston ssdnow v+ v2 ssd and 8gb 1333 valueram though)

actually pwm fans have a 4 pin connector, and voltage regulated fans have a 3 pin connector. You can easily see which setting you should use in the BIOS by looking at the fan connector (the one attached to the fancable, not the one on the motherboard)

sounds a bit like a memory problem. Perhaps set looser timings, 0r let memtest run for a night. Also people might be able to help you beter if you provide us with the kexts you are using
