I've included my EFI partition. Moving to Opencore is an idea but I rather try and fix this clover installation to a working state before doing that. Hopefully someone can help me figure out what's wrong here.

I’ve tried using my Unibeast stick to boot. Same errors so I’m pretty sure it’s not EFI related. I also don’t know how to actually zip and upload the partition now. It’s my only machine in the house so I can’t pop in the drive to another and copy things.

I'm running my 290x perfectly using clover. I gave up on chameleon because you get white jibberish on black text whichever way you try and boot with it. Clover on the other hand gave me 0 issues. Card is recognised as AMD 8xxx series.

Thanks for the info. Ive bought the i3 2125. If it doesnt work I can always sell it. The choice of MB was due to availability of second hand parts. Same goes for the CPU really. Im building this thing as cheap as possible :)

Is CPU throttling enabled? You say it occurs more often if the system is inactive. It could have to do with sleep management and power throttling I feel.
