Thanks. It's http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-m-1.3-12-early-2015-specs.html it's the first 12" MacBook that was ever released from early 2015.
Hey guys,
I think this is my first non hackintosh related question on this forum. I own the first series of MacBook 12"s fully-loaded and on El Capitan which serves me well as a super portable low performance machine for on the go. Can anyone give me any insight onto whether or not my machine...
Thanks for all the help in the last week. I found this tutorial: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297324-bootcamp-on-hackintosh/
Is there any chance it might break my bootloader?
Background: I've finally gotten my dual boot behaving properly after a bit of work but I have one last wish.
Problem: I can now use the Startup Disk pane in OS X to tell Clover to boot Win 7 and it works fine. When I'm in Windows, is there any way I can do the reverse to get back into El...
Worked like a charm but I'm not sure why I have 4 Windows partitions. I'm fairly certain I only have 2. Is there any way to look at the paths? Also there are two legacy HD 1s like:
Legacy HD 1
Legacy HD 1
Legacy HD 2
Legacy HD 3
So I kind of figured it out.
I tried reinstalling the EFI with Multibeast but I wasn't able to get it to work. What I WAS able to do though was upgrade my board to UEFI, they were released on the cusp of UEFI and shipped with a legacy BIOS despite supporting UEFI. After that I had more...
Great thanks. You had given me advice on the original issue a few months back. That's the direction I was leaning toward. If I have an issue getting back in, my install USB should be able to get me back in, correct?
Solution: After solving my other issue with getting the right Clover entry to load up that would properly load my Windows in the first place, I am able to utilize the Startup Disk preference pane feature in OS X. Selecting and restarting with the install I want will pass off the default OS to...
Solution: I installed the UEFI BIOS upgrade for my originally legacy motherboard. I was able to get more boot entry flexibility and was able to choose the correct version of Clover that'd boot my Windows properly. That being said, I think my issue may have been mixed up, I think I had Clover in...
I had a similar issue at some point after migrating a Win 7 install from a dual boot drive to a separate drive. I never completely resolved it but now I just select the drive from the motherboards boot device selection menu.
[Solved] NVIDIA Driver Won't Load
Issue: New NVIDA card won't reboot the NVIDIA driver when toggling it on in the OS. It only has 1 display and is low res.
Solution: Change system profile from 5,1 to 3,1.
Background: I purchase a GTX 970 to replace my old AMD card so I can support VR. I...
Welp. FYI, migrating a Win 7 multi-boot install to a single boot drive is a pain-in-the-ass but I did it.
I had to manually create the system partition and then use a third-party application to write the boot files to it and configure its boot settings. It was compounded by having to juggle...
Thanks for all the help!
This machine is almost 4 years old and will probably be replaced in a year or two. I'll just wait to go UEFI on my next rig.
CCC is telling me it can't backup a bootable Windows. If I clone that Win volume with CCC to a formatted drive, and then run the Win startup...
I was going to try cloning OS X to the new drive (my primary OS so I'd like more space) and migrating a copy of my Win partition, reinstalling Clover on the new drive, then once that is running wipe the old drive and clone Win 7 back to it.
Should I consider upgrading my MoBo to UEFI at this...
