    AMD Radeon Performance Enhanced SSDT

Thanks for the very interesting work... I just tried out the SSDT for RX580, and got the following results (before and after sleep)... Before SSDT: OpenCL: Metal: After SSDT: OpenCL: Metal: So overall, a very mediocre increase in performance... but GPU die temp has come down...

RX 560 sleep not working- improper sleep, no wake

Hey ramsin64, I am in a similar boat (although I installed Mojave 10.14.6 onto B85M-e45 MSI + i5-4460 + RX 560 4GB), if I put the computer to sleep, I need to use power button to wake computer, and then accelerated graphics do not work (but unaccerated graphics work) -> sigh If you find...

    DSDT for ASUS B75M-PLUS

5 years late, but I hacked my Gigabyte B75M-D3H with Yosemite and Sierra/High Sierra... I updated the system before Mojave was released, but it should still work. (SMBIOS 12,2 then 14,2 when black screen issue appeared).

How to Enable AMD GPU Encoding instead of Intel's?

I have somehow lost H.264 Radeon RX 580 accelerated encoding/decoding under 10.14.5 with iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS and Dummy141.kext ??!! I just tested transcode with Handbrake 1.2.2 and it is using CPU only?! Any help appreciated.

Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

Never mind... I was using 1.2.0, Video Toolbox introduced in 1.2.2 - updated Handbrake and now TWICE as fast !!!

Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

I have an interesting situation, I have hardware encoding/decoding active as shown... I tried a few test encodes (H.264) full movies via HandBrake, and each movie took ~17min (YaY). I did some more recently, and encode time is now ~35min (BoO) Do you need to paste those two Terminal lines...

Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

I have Coffee Lake + RX 580. I changed SMBIOS to iMacPro1,1 and installed dummy141.kext to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other/ I have DGPU accelerated 10-bit HEVC decoding, using VLC Media Player, it barely shows anything under Activity Monitor... If you cannot use the SMBIOS for any reason, you can try...

Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

Tried both auto and videotoolbox, HEVC still software decoded :-( Tried three H.264 videos, only two decoded with hardware: Using hardware decoding (videotoolbox). VO: [opengl] 1920x800 videotoolbox[nv12] (NOTE: the first video may not have been H.264!!)

Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

Ummm, never mind... VLC Media Player did the trick :) With MPV it looked more like this: PS. Do I need to type in defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA forceATI -boolean yes at every boot, or does this setting stick? Is there a way to automate this if the setting isn't saved?

Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

Hi Everyone, a bit late to the party here, but I am using release version of macOS 10.14.4 with iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS and RX 580 8GB, and have hardware encoding working with dummy141.kext only (and PEGP to GFX0 in Clover). ./VDADecoderCheckerSierra Hardware acceleration is fully supported also...

[Guide] How to patch DSDT for working battery status

I have reverted back to default (no DSDT), but my original untouched files, and my 16 bit patch files are still attached in my previous few posts... It is totally beyond my scope of experience, but if I can't even correctly do the 16 bit patches, I will never accomplish 96bit or 128 bit :-( If...

[Guide] How to patch DSDT for working battery status

I followed your patching guide... only 4 errors out of 12+21 patches... I'm sure the offending "non existent" objects are still defined at the beginning of the file?! I don't know which way to go now :-/ I am also struggling with an install onto Gigabyte H370-HD3, so I am operating on about...

[Guide] How to patch DSDT for working battery status

Never mind... I have managed to kill sleep, Bluetooth after sleep and touchpad :-( Even with battery status working, this is less than useless... I will try a few things tomorrow, but if I cannot make any headway, I will revert to a backup EFI folder and at least have a working system apart...

[Guide] How to patch DSDT for working battery status

I have commented out the offending sections and now have battery percentage of a sort... it does not seem to update until you click in the menubar or open the prefpanel (Energy Saver).
