[SUCCESS] ASUS Z170-Deluxe i7-6700K AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Build

Nice build, man! How difficult was it to configure the graphics card? I have a dual-boot macOS+Win10 system, and I'm thinking of getting an add-on graphics card to be able to game on.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I'm not using your EFI, had some boot issues with it. At any rate, I figured out my problems and got everything sorted. Everything seems to be working 100% now, USB ports and all. I had generated USB SSDTs, THEN applied the port limit patch. the patch had no effect because I couldn't discover...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

My understanding, with USBInjectall we didn't need the port limit patches? Derp. I figured it out. I didn't apply the patch before doing port discovery, then loaded the SSDTs... the patch had no effect. <facepalm />

    [Release] Hackintool v3.x.x

Going through the process of port discovery... when I connect a USB 3.0 device to any USB 3.0 port, it isn't recognized. I've tried 4 different devices. USB 2 devices are recognized in 3.0 ports fine. And 3.0 devices are recognized in 2.0 ports. Anyone have any ideas?

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

So, I got my system working about 90% on Mojave 10.14.6. I was using Hackintool to do all the USB port mapping, when I came to the realization that none of my USB 3.0 ports are recognizing USB 3 devices. If I plug a USB2 thumb drive into a 3.0 port, it's recognized. If I plug a 3.0 device into...

    Installer fails, crossed-through circle

Ok that was taking too long. Started over and used the "copy sharedsupport" method on the same post... that seems to be working fine! 10 minutes remaining!

    Installer fails, crossed-through circle

I found the post about running the 'startosinstall' from the terminal. Trying that. Uffa!

    Installer fails, crossed-through circle

OK so now the installer is making a liar out of me. Just succeeded through the first stage of install and reboot. Edit: Spoke too soon. Now I am getting "macOS could not be installed on your computer.. installer resources error"

    Installer fails, crossed-through circle

I am trying to perform a clean install of Mojave on a system that has fully functional High Sierra install. I downloaded the Mojave installer, and got the ~22MB stub installer file. Followed the guides on here to create the full install package. Downloaded the Mojave Unibeast, created a Mojave...

The problem I had with your files, I was using an EFI for Mojave when I was trying to install High Sierra.... d'oh! I DL'ed your High Sierra EFI, and removed the extra kexts from /L/E... voila! Everything works a treat! But, wait for it.... I tried to download Mojave from said new Hack build...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Disabling Fast Boot seems to have fixed the no DisplayPort on boot. However, after running Multibeast and rebooting, my macOS partition is not shown in the Clover boot options. I also tried your EFI folder, same thing. I'll tackle this tomorrow, have to head to bed now.

It is, and I removed the nVidia card. And I have DP1 selected in Internal GOP Configuration. I disabled Fast Boot, to see if that has any effect, for the time being.

@pastrychef , when you were using the integrated graphics, did you have boot display issues when connected via DisplayPort? I'm getting a blank screen until the OS loads.

Will Do! I'm backing up my Windows drive right now, I'll be giving it a go later on this evening. And, yes, I meant a Wifi to Ethernet bridge - a Netgear EX6200, which I disabled, use as an extender, and just use the Ethernet ports to connect to Wireless AC 5GHz

Great! Thanks! What is the EC file for? Also I should add I'm going to use the Intel Ethernet and a Wifi bridge.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Hi @pastrychef , I've been out of the Hackintosh game for a while... I got frustrated with my last system having issues and went back to Windows. Now, I have a hankering to give it another go. I've read about 30 or so pages of the nearly 800 on this thread, and re-read your 1st post about 1/2...
