    Wondering about ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext

What's the reason ElliottForceLegacyRTC isn't included the UniBeast install that you make? It seems very useful, especially when you've configured your BIOS or UEFI to be Hackintosh friendly.

    Pondering another Hackintosh with...

...the EVGA X58 FTW3 motherboard: http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.a ... amily&sw=5 Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this motherboard as a Hackintosh build? I originally wanted the Gigagbyte GA-X58A-UD5 or GA-X58A-UD7 (both rev. 2.0), but they've proven surprisingly...

Help me understand what's going on...

I admit that I'm still a novice when it comes to overclocking, so here's the situation that's got me puzzled: I used to have 12 Gb of DDR3 1600 Mhz RAM set to its timing of 9-9-9-24 in the BIOS and it was all good whether I'm in Windows 7 or Lion. (However, I was running this at 1730 Mhz...

Selecting Use Kernel Cache solves a problem but...

...comes with a side effect. The problem was an odd stalling caused by disk I/O. The most consistent way this stalling happens is watching a blu-ray while the desktop picture changes "slideshow style." Otherwise, it seemed random for quite some time. This problem had been plaguing me since...

Can you update a Lion Install (with UniBeast) to 10.7.2?

I think my question is very to the point, can this be done? Currently, it doesn't appear as though you can make a bootable 10.7.2 setup with UniBeast (or any Hackintosh bootloader I'm aware of) with the 10.7.2 DMG. Just trying to make the Hackintosh experience more enjoyable. :)

Everything looked good until I installed...

...the nVidia v256.02.25f01 driver. I went through a fair amount of effort to get it as far I did; I dug up a backup copy of the v10.6 DVD, updated to v10.6.8, used MultiBeast and the custom DSDT. I installed the CUDA stuff without a hitch, if that makes a difference. But after installing the...
