same here. the only thing i would add is that my case has a 20-pin usb3 cable for front usb3.0 ports but this board doesn't have that 20-pin connector. not a huge deal though. everything else is working like a charm
Thank you two so much!!! I have Windows 7 installed on a seperate hd and used MacDrive 8 (free trial) to delete the files mentioned above in the Lion drive and now I'm able to boot into the Lion!! System restore averted!!!
Great! My goal here is to get everything working with my first attempt, and then maybe add more power later as my skills grow. All things considered, I am going for i3-2125 with HD 3000 for the current build. In the mean time I'll be looking out for any upgrade opportunities in the coming...
I appreciate your comments. I checked the http://www.tonymacx86.com/wiki/index.php/Graphics_Card_Database and couldn't find any HD 6670 cards on the list? Can anyone verify the performance and compatibility of HD 6670 in a hackintosh?
limited budget :( the extra kick that i5 brings with it sounds really tempting but I don't really have any plans for it just yet. maybe I will save up and upgrade to i7+ 6870 :P
Thanks !!! I didn't know 2105 has HD 3000 in it.
May still opt to get a video card later, but now I think I'd be perfectly happy to have the option of skipping that extra $150
Hi all, first post here(edited). Below is my attempt to build my first hackintosh. I just realized that i3 2100 only provides intel HD 2000 and is not supported by lion so I either have to get a graphics card or return my i3 to microcenter and get an i5 2500k with intel HD 3000.
I'm excited...
