After reading so many posts here I tried booting in safe mode. It didn't work... But when I restarted, the Install Mac OS High Sierra From SSD was there and it went smoothly.

I'm not using a USB installer. I have the installer in my Applications folder and I'm trying to update from there. I tried your folder (excluding the Test2.efi file, what is it for btw?) but it didn't help. I still get back to the current version after the installer restarts.

Can anyone help me here?

I changed it to Mac Pro 3,1 but nothing happened. It was the same black screen. I then tried without cache from startup as you previously told, but got the same black screen... Why isn't this working?? :banghead:

Clover set it automatically to iMac 14,2 Is that fine? Or should I try any other system definitioin?

I tried to boot without caches. When the screen went black I disconnected the HDMI cable, the monitor showed "No HDMI cable attached" message. Then I connected the cable again, then the monitor went to power saver mode. I then disconnected the cable again and connected to onboard HDMI port, but...

Yes I did repair the permissions and rebuild the caches using kext wizard after installing the given kext, just as you said.

I tried installing the given kext file using kext wizard, but it is also giving the same issue... Could it be a problem with my monitor?

Hi Jithin, I chose the "without cache" mode at startup by pressing spacebar, but it gives the exact same error as in the last screenshot and then the screen goes black. :(

I'm using the standard config.plist that was mentioned in the guide. I've attached it here. I've also tried selecting InjectEDID from the clover options (when the clover screen shows on system startup) also tried setting it from the Clover configurator but it also didn't help.
