I am still unable to boot and I was hoping not to have to reformat. Any ideas on a fix for this?

After I find that folder, I do not see any files in it. I held option to see if that would work but still nothing.

OK, like a complete moron I ran the mac lion update and it killed my sound. I ran multibeast and evidently chose the wrong driver. I wanted to go in and delete the kexts but I cannot see them. I held the option key and still do not see them. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm sorry I should've been more clear. I have lion running but was wondering about updating to 10.7.3. thx

I've only seen partition one drive or where ppl have had success but show little or no steps. If I missed it, I apologize. I have been searching.

Everything else seems to be working! :lol: I've gotten this far before then tried to load more drivers for audio and it crashed. I think it may have been the universal ones. This time I just loaded the realtek drivers listed in multi beast. I see audio options under system info but no sound...

No, I just used multibeast to try to load audio drivers. Now I cant boot from anything, USB or hd. I get stuck on loading operatin system. I tried iBoot which allows me to see both the USB and hd but they both do the same thing as before. I even reloaded the os on unibeast. No luck.

Figure I lost the boot loader. I have tried going to unibeast and it doesn't work. I get the same thing. Put in iBoot, can see the lion drive and USB unibeast but neither will load. I've double checked the bios and even recreated the lion install on unibeast USB. I don't know what else to try.

I can't even get past this black screen with "Loading Operating System" at the top left. It loads some dots then just stops. :banghead:

Now, it doesn't get that far. Stuck at loading operating system.

:banghead: well I had almost everything working and was loading software. All going well. Moved computer to final location and hooked up speakers. No sound. Rebooted a couple of times, nothing. Under system info sound options were showing up. Reloaded multibeast audio options including...

It seems to be. I haven't plugged in speakers but audio shows in the specs now. The graphics card is showing up correctly. My only concerns are doing the lion update and running two monitors. I will find out in just a bit if dual monitors is working.

:lol: all is good. Loaded onboard graphics first then installed my sapphire. Recognized correctly. 12600 geek bench. I'm very happy now!
